The Holy King Speaks Out

​

This morning his Most Cattholic Majesty, the Holy King Jean-Pierre Vii, God's Chosen Defender of the Faith and the Holy See addressed the Holy Kingdom of Corsica of the murder of Ryan Rion and the shootout at his funeral. Here is what his Most Catholic Majesty had to say:

"Even though my cousin was an idiot and a traitor to the people he was sworn to represent and to the royal Rion family, he did not deserve to die. When I spoke out against him, I was not calling for his murder. I also was not speaking out against the Protestants of Corsica, they make up a large portion of this holy kingdom and have as much right as the Catholic citizens of Corsica to practice their religion.

What he have here is the resurgence of a terrorist group that means to turn the two sects of Christianity against each other, for a little bit they were succeeding, but they failed. People were beginning to blame the Catholic Church and I for the murder of Ryan Rion and Catholics were already angry at Protestants for trying to reform the Church. Then on that horrible day the shootout happened, and they did not just kill Protestants that day, no, thay also killed Catholics.

Even if they had not killed Catholics, the people of Corsica would have never condoned the 5 gunmen actions, because you know why? We are Christians and if you are not Christian you are religious or just man or woman of morals, and the killing of innocent lives is one of the most heinous crimes someone can commit.

So St. Micheal's Sword has failed, the people of Corsica are not split, we have united. We have united to find these murderers and to bring peace to our great nation again. I have total faith in the Police Nationale and their allies to find his group of murderers and bring them to Justice."

His Most Catholic Majesty, then left the room with cheering from the reporters that were there to witness this uplifting moment. The Nation of Corsica is no longer split because of religion, we are now united.

His Danic Majesty's Government believes strongly that it is imperative that order is completely restored to the Kingdom of Corsica in an orderly fashion. The calamities over the death of former Prime Minister Rion and the injuries to his widower are of immense concern.

Whilst we welcome the words of His Most Catholic Majesty, the Holy King Jean-Pierre VII, as an act of unity and statesmanship and have sympathy with his words of all-encompassing Christian identity irrespective of denomination and effects of unity, His Danic Majesty's Government is far from assured that this is wholly the finality. The political turbulence within the Holy Kingdom is of concern to us as it risks instability in the region which cannot be tolerated due to implications upon economic and political prosperity.

As such, His Danic Majesty's Government will henceforth be conducting aerial surveillance, airforce patrols, and stationing of the Kongelige Danske Marine (Danish Royal Navy) around and over the Kingdom to survey developments and events with details reported back to Christiansborg.

We expect the Holy Kingdom to instill stability within its realm and restore and enact measures ensuring that peace is restored to prevent the most recent developments steam-rollering out of control and also with full and meaningful justice for the family of former Prime Minister, and Prince, Rion.

We have to warn you that a failure to do so will involve direct military intervention by the Crown Forces of the Kingdom of the Great Danes, and the Kingdom will dispatch full military force with immediate effect.

Elections to be Held!!

The King announced this morning that Parliamentary elections next Tuesday. "I know that I said elections would not be held until the end of the year, but after the 2 attacks by St. Micheal's Sword people have come to the irrational idea that law and order have been lost in the HOLY KINGDOM OF CORSICA. This is far from the truth and to show these nations who question the stability of the HOLY KINGDOM OF CORSICA that law and order is present we will have elections ahead of schedule. The HOLY KINGDOM OF CORSICA has never been compromised and the government still has control and these elections will show that."

Even though originally elections were not going to be held until the end of the year the multiple parties had already began to campaign before the announcement of the Holy King, but now their campaigning has already increased due to the short notice. In a poll done before the Holy King's announcement, the people of Corsica overwhelmingly supported the Parti Conservateur, this obviously due to the coalition between the Parti Réformiste and the parti vert and them trying to pass the Church reform bills. There was also another party campaigning, Parti de la nation chrétienne, they are a anti-Protestant nationalist party whose popularity had increased, but with the recent events and the Holy King's speech people have withdrawn their support.

Safe House Found

Thanks to information given to the Police Nationale by a Corsican citizen who called, the Police Nationale SWAT team raided a St. Micheal's Sword safe house. The raid went off without any problems or any deaths, they captured 15 people and found a weapon's cache.

When asked about the raid, this is what chief detective Andre Fortier had to say, "This raid would not have been possible without the assistance of the anonymous citizen. The citizen did not say his name, but he wanted it to be known that he was Catholic; this is because he wanted St. Micheal's Sword know that they do not have the support of the Catholic citizens of the HOLY KINGDOM OF CORSICA. The anonymous citizen is right, that SWAT team was a combination of Catholics and Protestants working together to bring justice to the HOLY KINGDOM OF CORSICA. We are closing in on St. Micheal's Sword and we will stop them."

The safehouse was just a normal house in a normal neighborhood in Avignon, the anonymous citizen said that they notice a sudden of increase of people living in this house and that when they were carrying boxes into the house, one of the guys dropped a box and weapons fell out. Chief Detective Fortier says that safe houses can be anywhere and that any information at all would help their investigation.

Defense Pact Signed

Today His Most Catholic Majesty, the Holy King Jean-Pierre VII, God's Chosen Defender of the Faith and the Holy see signed a defense pact with the Talemantine Empire. This pact is a guarantee that the Talemantine Empire will come to the aid of THE HOLY KINGDOM OF CORSICA when a nation threatens war, this pact also allows the Empire to have full use of Corsican ports and the stationing of 50,000 Talematien soldiers in the HOLY KINGDOM OF CORSICA.

His Most Catholic Majesty says that this pact has come about because of the false belief that law and order was lost in the HOLY KINGDOM OF CORSICA and the threat of war by other nations. This will also help further develop the economic and military realtionship between the Holy Kingdom and the Empire.

Even though the Holy King has full authority to sign this defense pact, being that he is in full control of the government at this moment because of the Parliament's dissolution and being that he is naturally the Head of State and the Commander in Chief of the military forces, he will hold a vote in the new Parliament when it is elected to validate the defense pact and to show that the people support this new pact.

Princess Catherine is to be Married

​

His Most Catholic Majesty's sister, Princess Catherine Rion, the third in line to the throne, is getting married to HKH Prince Sebastian of Danmark, the brother of the Crown Prince and fifth in line to the throne. All single men across Corsica begin to weep.

The outgoing Princess Cathrine, 21 years old, is a famous actress, who starred in many Royal theater stage productions, including Alexandrie,where she played the lead role of Queen Alexandrie, the first and only Corsican Queen. The HKH Prince Sebastian is a military man and a patron to many charities. Though these 2 seem different in personality, their love for their families and nation will surely make this marriage work out for the best.

This comes as a surprise to the people of Corsica, because HKH Prince Sebastion is a member of the Danish Protestant Church. This will be the first time that a member of the royal family from Corsica is not marrying another Catholic.The Holy King Jean-Pierre VII says that this marriage will not only ease the tensions that risen lately between Corsica and Danmark, but also between the Catholics and Protestants of Corsica.

Elections Start

​

Today, as his Most Catholic Majesty promised in his speech last week, the polls opened. Hundreds of thousands of people are arriving at schools to vote for the new Parliament.

This election is just like any other elections, there signs everywhere and people are outside the doors to the schools doing last minute campaigning for their party, but there is one thing that is different, the security.

Plans of bombings at elections polls were found from the St. Micheal's Sword safe houses that were raided last week. Police believe that even though His Holy Majesty moved up the election from the end of the year to today, that St. Micheal's Sword will still go through with their plan.

Police are outside the buildings that the polls are held with bomb sniffing dogs and metal detectors, and if you bring any sort of bag, prepare to have them searched.

When asked about the heightened security, the people of Corsica seemed to understand why it had to happen, but they never thought that they would anything like this in their country, "you see this sort of thing in the news with war torn and unstable countries, but I would've never thought it would happen in Corsica."

An exit poll show that the parti conservateur has a large lead over the parti reformiste and the third parties. The polls end at 6:00 and we should hear the results tonight or possibly tomorrow morning.

Parti Conservateur Overwhelmingly
win Election
​

The official election results are in and as predicted Parti Conservateur wins, but no one knew that they would have won as big as they did. Here are the results:

Parti Conservateur- 63%, 189 seats
Parti national- 15%, 45 seats
Parti verde- 12%, 36 seats
Parti reformiste- 10%, 30 seats

Not is this a record for the biggest win for the Parti Conservateur, but its also a record for the biggest loss for the Parti reformiste. Parti reformiste went from one of the two major partys to a small third party. This major decrease in votes is due to the church reform controversy that transpired last month and earlier this month.

This is also a big win for Parti national, this is the most seats that they have ever won in an election. They run on a Catholic supremacist platform, wanting to make Protestants convert to Catholicism and if they don't then they can't vote, serve in the military or run for public office. Usually they only get around 2% of the vote and only a few seats, but this increase could also be due to some Catholics blaming the Protestants the Church Reform bills.

The Parti Conservateur have an overwhelming majority, so they will not need to form a coalition to pass their legislation, they can pretty much pass whatever they want without opposition. The Parti Conservateur has also named the Prime Minister, Bernard Rion, the Holy King's uncle and a highly decorated military man. Parliament will begin their new session tomorrow morning.

Terrorist Plot Foiled

During elections yesterday, Arrested 5 people trying to bring bombs into polling areas that are heavily populated by Protestants. It has been confirmed that the 5 men were members of St. Micheal's Sword. In all 5 instances the bomb sniffing dogs were able to detect the bombs and the police were able to arrest them before the terrorists could enter into the buildings where elections were being held.

Head Detective Andre Fortier had this to say about the attempted attack, "This was a major victory over St. Micheal's Sword. They tried to stop the election and make a statement at the same time, but thanks to the expertise of our police officers we were able to stop them without any loss of life and the election continued without a hitch. I belief that after this failed attack, they will be on the run and we will finally be on the offensive. St. Micheal's Sword's time is up and we will make sure that they will cause no more trouble for the people of Corsica."

Just like the captured gunmen from Ryan Rion's funeral, the failed bombers refuse to talk to the police. The police continue their investigation and ask for any information form the citizens of Corsica.
