Warm regards from Yungdrung Gutsak and our mountain nation. It is my first task as Lord Protector of the realm to secure a location for the LIII Lord Rigpa, Thorlákur Feargusson Gunn, to find a peaceful retirement. Thorlákur Feargusson has asked me to secure a location with a more agreeable climate where he could live out the years he has left, a peaceful land with a pleasant people. The Kingdom of Eiffelland came to my mind; I had the great pleasure of visiting Trier whilst still a student.

The treasury of the realm will pay the necessary costs, but I would like the permission of your government - as a courtesy to a friendly head-of-state - for Thorlákur Feargusson to reside in Eiffelland (with two or three retainers) and for the assistance of your government in requisitioning an appropriate residence, preferably an old and modest home along a quiet stretch of coast.

Should you accede, when Thorlákur Feargusson arrives, it would be his great pleasure to meet you, the royal family, and members of your government to deepen ties between our nations particularly now that the nation's Oelarian Republic is a signatory to the EDF Partnership for Stability.

Thank you for sending the Rigpa's Government your prompt reply. Tell me, does the seaside manor have a name we might append to the rigpa's stationery?

By our ancient laws - the Doom - Lord Thorlákur, so long as he reigns, must be personally accompanied by the prime minister of his government, Robert Petursson Viereskog, which will increase the party by three. However I assure you that, although your land will host our legal head-of-state and head-of-government, the Oelarian court will probably go unnoticed as such. (Though I do not guarantee that the retinue will not receive funny looks in town and at the beach.) All of the major business of rule will be taken care of here in Yungdrung Gutsak by myself and capable veteran bureaucrats.

Dear Lord Protector Isleifur Christian Hjovarthursson Alvitr,

The seaside manor does not have a name, but of course the Lord Rigpa can give it a name.

It is also our wish to meet the Lord Rigpa and Prime Minister Petursson Viereskog when they arrive in Trier. The King invites them at his residence, Schloss Charlottenburg, for a few days' stay. Of course this invitation is also meant for Mrs. Seumasdatter Gunn, Mrs. Jónsdatter Fremhjalp, Mrs. Josefsdatter Ulfvan and Mrs. Benjaminsdatter Geijer. During their stay at Schloss Charlottenburg, there will be a dinner, at which also the Ministers and I myself will attend, a visit to the Museuminsel in Trier (especially the Pergamonmuseum, where an ancient Tiburan city has been rebuilt) and a visit to a concert in the Konzerthaus Trier.

I don't know if you plan to send a security staff to protect the Lord Rigpa. It is our plan to provide protection by our Staatsschutz for that task.

We look forward to meeting the Lord Rigpa and the people accompanying him.

Thank you, I shall relay the news to Thorlákur Feargusson. He will be most pleased and has expressed concern to me about whether the humble rudiments of Oelarian hospitality will be sufficient to repay your kindness

With respect to security, I expect it is extremely unlikely that anyone will try to harm the Lord Rigpa. In the curious event someone finds some cause to molest him, Prime Minister Viereskog is a young man enough and, if I recall, a fair shot with a handgun. Though the Staatsschutz, I expect, will be more than sufficient.
