Flughafen Trier-Schönefeld

The Eiffellandian capital had two international airports. The older one was situated near the city centre. The older one only existed since a couple of years, but it had become the larger and more important airport of Trier, simply because it could handle larger airplanes, and jet airplanes as well. It was at this airport where Chancellor Matthias Graf von Seydewitz would receive the Seoran delegation. The King, who was 4th dan in the Seoran martial art Taekwon-do, had learnt him the Seoran greet to be used for important guests. The Chancellor was glad about that, although it would be the only Seoran word he knew. He spoke six languages fluently, but Seoran wasn't one of them.

The aircraft slowly taxied to a stop. The trip from Seora to Eiffelland was a long and a rough one. The war had devastated many of the industries in Seora and the aviation industry, as a potential war industry, was not spared. With the new militarist government ruling in Ryugyong, they were able to procure one of the few remaining passenger planes for this trip even if it is an older model. This would be the Seoran Commerce Administrator's first time on a plane, and the nerves shown through his face the entire flight. Ahn Eun-Soo had traveled by every mode of transportation for business, trains all across Touyou, and by ships all across the oceans, but never on an aircraft. However, for this mission time was of the essence, and he couldn't affords days or weeks by ship or traverse the treacherous routes by rail.

In contrast to Administrator Ahn, was the steely persona of Administrator of State Goo Jae-min, who only ever cracked a smile when Ahn clenched his jaw at every bout of turbulence. The past few years had been unkind to Jae-min as she suffered during the Yujiner Civil War with a front row seat to the devastation that is wreaked across the region. She was a mid-level diplomat, a specialist as a translator, in the Mao Province of Yujin and witnessed the massacres in the diplomatic district that ignited the war. Witnessing such acts have caused her to grow cold and calculating, but now she answered the call to help steer Seora back on track, and it was going to take her discipline and linguistic skills to accomplish it.

The aircraft finally came to a stop on the tarmac and Administrator Goo rose from her seat and turned to Ahn, "Dangsin-ui geim eolgul-eul."*

Goo Jae-min exited the plane first, dressed in her military uniform, recently given a new rank in the new government. She approached the Chancellor, extended her hand, and spoke in her accented German, "Guten Tag Kanzler."

[OOC: Translation: "Put your game face on."]

"Guten Tag, Frau Goo. Mannasuh bangapseumnida," The Chancellor replied. He wanted to ask whether she had a good trip, but then he saw the face of Ahn Eun-Soo, and realised that it would be better not to ask that. He also realised that both people had flown for 12 hours in a relatively old plane.

"Guten Tag, Herr Minister Ahn. Mannasuh bangapseumnida," he said to the Seoran Administrator for Commerce. He presumed that an Administrator in Seora was the same as a Minister in Eiffelland, so he used the title "Minister" to adress Ahn.

"Welcome to Eiffelland," he said to both. "Unfortunately, the weather is not that good today, but we can't expect anything else from Autumn." Then he led Mrs. Goo and Mr. Ahn to the motorcade, which consisted solely of Eiffellandian made Raimers 300. Other officials from the Kanzleramt and the Wirtschaftsministerium (Ministry for Economic Affairs) welcomed the lower-ranking members of the Seoran delegation, and led them to the motorcade as well. It was the Chancellor's decision to organise an informal dinner at Schloss Köpenick first and start the official talkings the next day, so that the Seorans could take part in them after having taken some rest and having coped with the time difference.

OOC: For the Raimers, please see .

Jae-min graciously greeted the Chancellor as she and Administrator Ahn got into the motorcade. The ride in the luxury vehicles was a welcome respite from their previous motive of travel. Once they arrived at Schloss Köpenick the Seoran delegation welcomed the refreshments and rest from their long journey a world away. Administrator Goo thanked the chancellor on behalf of her people for the hospitality the Eiffellanders had shown.

"Chancellor, thank you for your hospitality." she said, then bowed before joining her compatriots.

Once the delegation had eaten Goo Jae-min had a meeting with Ahn Eun-soo and the other leaders of the delegation to do a final preparation for the talks the following day. Among the group were the members who would become Seora's new diplomatic mission to Eiffelland and be the care taker of Seoran-Eiffellander relations long after the big leaders go home. Goo went over the main points that Seora needed from Eiffelland, a gross expansion of economic ties, economic and humanitarian aid, and the repairing of defunct diplomatic relationship.

After reviewing and then re-reviewing each issue, Administrator Goo dismissed the meeting and told her people to get well rested for the beginning of the talks tomorrow.

Von Seydewitz knew that this meeting was important to the Seorans. It was also important to Eiffelland according to him. Maybe the new rulers of Yujin would be able to stabilise that country, and then it could come in handy to already be present in the region with factories and trade connections. And maybe the Seorans could help the Eiffellandians with making contact to the people in Touzen and Yujin. There had been contacts between Eiffelland and Seora in the past, resulting in a group of 600,000 ethnic Seorans in Eiffelland and the Eiffellandian Royal Family doing a Seoran martial art. Unfortunately, the instability in Yujin made it impossible to maintain those contacts. This was the moment to refresh them.

It was the day after the arrival of the Seoran delegation. Von Seydewitz went from his official residence (Schloss Bellevue, near the centre of Trier) to Schloss Köpenick (in the southeast of Trier). He would lead the negotiations with the Seorans. At the end of the day, there would be a dinner, and afterwards a visit to the opera. Coincidentally, Die Zauberflöte would be performed. Von Seydewitz was happy with that. It was a nice operette. He considered it better not to take guests from Toyou to Turandot or Madame Butterfly, and more in general being taken to an opera could be misunderstood, given the fact that operas often had a bad outcome and sometimes were negative about authorities.
