New Domain: europe-game.eu

By the end of this week, the domain of the forum will be changed to europe-game.eu as part of an effort to renovate the game, introducing new features along the road as well as making a last symbolic cut with NationStates and a domain name that can easily be misinterpreted. I plan to keep the current domain active until the end of January, giving everyone enough time to update their bookmarks. After that, Version 2 of Europe awaits us!

Actually, I will probably have to fall back to the second choice: europe-game.eu. Europe2 apparently is a French internet radio station, and well, while they do not seem to be that popular or known, I do not know if you can possibly make a legal claim on the combination "Europe2" - law people?

Europe2 should be okay if you purchase the domain first. Companies don't have an inherent right to domains. This how the Dallas Cowboys lost their domain "cowboys.com" to a cowboy dating site, and now you have to go to dallascowboys.com

...I'm beginning to theorize that there are some problems with having BOTH the europe-game.eu and ns-europe.eu domain names running at once. If I recall correctly the europe-game.eu address doesn't even let you see the first page properly without logging in. We really ought to kill one or the other, and if ns-europe.eu is the removed address, it should just be a page for a few months with a link to the new site, rather than multiple access as it is now.
