For myself, I am still RPing a peace loving nation, but this time monolingual German and with somewhat larger armed forces. After a war against a nation ruled by a Christian version of the Taliban raised to power 4, I am also occupying a part of an Italian speaking nation.
RPwise, we are in the 1950s, but I took the freedom to make one exception to that. Dentistry in the 1950s meant amalgam (i.e. black) fillings in front teeth and a denture as wedding gift. Not only given the fact that I am the son of a dentist, I refuse to RP that, so I RPed the discovery of a material that IRL became available in the 1980s and that made it possible for the first time to make strong enough tooth fillings in the same colour as the tooth to be filled, i.e. white tooth fillings that hold for several decades, possibly life-long. I haven’t heard any comments on that, but this material cannot be used for warfare anyway, so I don’t know why there would be any objections against it.
And there is one other problem I have with RPing in the 1950s: The cars are so slow!

But now we have a bit of a strange situation. The Englishman and the Scotchman are RPing Dutch nations, and the only remaining Dutchman is RPing a German nation. Che cosa è passato qui?
In any case, I need to RP more. Something has to happen at my work, otherwise I end up without a social life.

Greetings, all...'tis been a while!
Overcome with nostalgia at seeing the old place, I find myself giving some thought to returning here; I'm curious to discover whether age and experience will make this foray more productive than the last (which started reasonably well, but ran out of steam due to my horrible inability to write good fiction). So...hello again and I hope to be seeing a bit more of you, but don't expect any fireworks (not that you cynics would!).
Edit: It occurs to me that I may require just a little help settling back in. The best thing about Europe is the well-detailed historical and cultural background to the world; the worst thing is that the said level of detail makes it bloody hard to work out what the hell is going on!
