Welcome! I've only been here for a couple of years (and for a large chunk of that I was AWOL) so to me you're new (or old depending on how you look at it). Anyway I don't know what everything was like when you left, but right now we have growing tensions between the Communist and the non-Communist countries and an America-style continent recently got removed from the map.

Nice to meet you! What's the best way to get up to date with Europe's current state? It's not so easy to see what posts still apply across the forum as some are rather old. Last time I was here the RP was set in the modern era. Besides putting up a basic factbook/concept, what else should I do before applying for a map spot?
