I'm Alvald(or only Ald), from Hølen in the south of Norway, I'm 16 years old. I'm obsessed with symbols and coins... and I'm happy to be here

Welcome aboard! I hope you get to vent your interests through RP with our Forum! :)

'lo, gents. My name is Liam, and I'm a westerman from California. I've known Andaluz for a good 4 years or so, and he just recently invited me on board. I'm a fervent follower of European history from start to now, and hope to play a Serbio-Norse culture of sorts.

I'm also an electrical engineering student in my third year. Anyone else in the same, slow boat as me?

In my experience, I've found the engineering major to be too stringent on classes you have to take, and combined with fierce competition for classes, it's almost impossible to graduate on time. Is this the same for you?

As for Serbio-Norse, fascinating. Glad to have more Slavs on the board at least.

Yeah, man. It's definitely a catch 22. I'd go ahead and say there's a lot more administrative intervention in engineering programs than most others.

Still, I'd never doubt the worthiness of the degree, but only if you're very dedicated to it (and the career).

Well, I finally bloody graduate this semester with history/geography; the geography makes me employable lol.

Howdy Hjorvatice! As Oikawa said if you have any questions about starting up, feel me to talk to me. Either a PM, or in the welcome center or on the IRC I don't mind. Also your Norse-Slavic idea sounds great. We'd all love some more slavic on the boards! As well as nordic :3

I was in your boat. I studied aeronautical engineering for two years. Jumped into Law school recently. The slow grind was too much! :p

Thanks, man. I'd imagine it was probably a big leap, but a relieving one at that. ;p

I appreciate the replies. This is one profoundly hospitable community. :)

Välkommen till Europa! I am the master of great university grinds! Taking roughly 7 years of undergrad! :D I've switched from Journalism to History to Political Science, meanwhile also getting a minor in Scandinavian Studies. The grind and I are friends, and now that I'm thru we miss each other... so I'm thinking of going back for post grad. :3

In any case welcome aboard! Look forward to the Norse mixture into the Slavs. Such history has always proved interesting to me, but nobody ever seems to RP it. :p

Hello, my nation is Babiana, in The East Pacific.

I'm just checking on what the diplomatic system is in Europe for maintaining relations between regions.

Hello and welcome! I speak with unofficial authority, but Europe does not really involve itself with the wider world of NationStates anymore. However, NationStates-ers are of course an appreciated addition to our board.

Hello and welcome!

Cathopia is right in that regard, but we did recently create a NationStates subforum with the intention of providing for a communication platform for those that reside in the Europe region of NationStates and are interested in the game aspects more than most people here on this board are. This forum is primarily about roleplay, but we do acknowledge our relationship to NationStates. So if anyone can help you with anything, please feel free to ask and we'll see what we can do.

Welcome, dear new arrivals. Herzlich Willkommen from the resident token Bavarian. Oikawa pretty much summed up the basics. If any questions pop up during browsing the forum, don't hesitate to poke the oldbies :)
