FOREIGN AGITATORS AT LARGE!

According to reputable sources within the People's Congress the assailant that murdered our leader was hired by an as yet unknown foreign power in order to destabilize our nation and to throw the people back into the chains of oppression. Acting First Minister Francois Valois has appealed for calm and restraint in these troubled times. Leader of the Red League William de Maqueda has called for all loyal Borovangens to take up arms in defense of the Commonwealth and to be ever vigilant when it comes to foreign agitators.

TWELVE DEAD IN POWER STATION RAID.

earlier today the Citizen Guard surrounding Borovanger City Power Station attempted to storm the building but were repulsed with heavy losses with twelve dead and seven wounded it is currently unknown how many casualties the occupiers took if indeed they took any. Local area commander Jean Aitor stated" we knew that the occupiers were armed, however we did not know how heavily they were armed or how quickly they had fortified their other wise we would not have attempted to retake the power station. All across the Commonwealth Red League members have taken to the streets decrying " Valois's oppressive regime against the people of Borovanger". additional Citizen Guards have been mobilized and will arrive in the city shortly.

FOUR DEAD IN SAULOT RIOTS.

the Saulot protests took a dark turn today as Popular Militia fired on a crowd of protesters killing four and wounded several more. Raoul Tejada commander of the Saulot Popular Militia claims that the protesters were throwing rocks and molotov cocktails at the militia and that they acted in self defense. what ever the reason this act of violence has turned previously peaceful protests into city wide riots with the rioters targeting anything or anyone affiliated with the current government.

ELECTION NIGHT TONIGHT MAQUEDA AND VALOIS NECK IN NECK.

with the election for First Minister looming the latest polls predict that Valois and Maqueda are incredibly close with both sides needing to sway the district of Tremere in order to gain a majority. Maqueda spoke from the Red League party heartland of Saulot saying" all true Borovangen patriots must vote for the Red League we cannot allow Valois's corrupt junta to maintain their hold on power". Valois's spokesman declared " Maqueda is a vicious fear-monger trying to delude the good people of Borovanger".

We are concerned about the current events in Borovanger. We call upon all people involved to remain calm, investigate the proceedings before and during the election and wait for the results of that investigation before reacting.

OPINION
The Definition of Failure
Rabbi Samuel Goldmann
The Talmud speaks to us of yetzer hara, the evil inclination, which G-d placed in mankind's heart. Despite its terminology, we must remember that this was done so with a purpose. Yetzer hara, which includes such things as lust, greed, and pride, is a necessary function of the flesh, for without it, one cannot sire or bear children, engage in profitable business, nor build a magnificent effigy.

Yetzer hara was designed as a trial, a surmountable obstacle intended to be overcome. Yetzer hara, when soundly defeated, and properly regulated, can result in good things. Once man has mastered his evil inclination, then he can become more drawn to G-d and His perfection.

But as what we can see in certain other nations, the worldly philosophy of communism is an abject, intentional failure to pass this test that has been set before us by G-d. Much like Cain, who failed to master his wrath after G-d admonished him to do so, killing his brother in the process, so too do these people who riot against law and order fail their test to overcome yetzer hara.

Indeed, not only do they fail to overcome it, but they embrace this failure wholeheartedly, engaging in unbridled wrath and further despoiling a nation that is already riddled with a problematic administration. Instead of reasoned argumentation, or the utilization of legal means to change their government for the better, they resort to violence and justifying this violence in the vague name of "the people".

If they truly fought for the people, these elements should utilize means that are lawful and non-disruptive to the daily life of the common individual. Prosecution, impeachment, a recount... If the law of their land possesses no such provisions, however, then it is clear that their law itself is flawed and must be altered. Not by violence, but by intelligent reasoning and discourse.

Alas, as it is with every violent communist revolution, the crimson of their banner represents pointless bloodshed by wrathful people who wilfully succumb to yetzer hara, rather than overcoming it and bringing about peaceful regime change. Their obsession with the redistribution of material wealth as the only means of happiness is the deepest pit of greed. And their incessant moralizing about how this ill-guided movement allegedly fights "for the liberation of the working man" is rank with pride. Communism consorts with yezter hara. Communism is the very definition of failure.

CIVIL WAR DECLARED

once again the good people of Borovanger have found themselves at war with their countrymen over the future of the nation with the Communist Red League fighting against the Prometheist aligned Peoples Alliance, each claiming to represent the peoples's will. Only time will tell over which factions dream for the future will come to fruition.
