St. Belisama - As the great heavy cruiser CAS Conamara, affectionately known as "Quick Connie", steams out of St. Belisama harbor at the head of a squadron of impressive up-gunned armored cruisers, dubbed the "Grand White Fleet", the global journey of diplomatic outreach and goodwill as ships of state begin. The purpose of the circumnavigation will be not only to extend goodwill and amity in international relations for the Commonwealth, but also as a display of power and capability of the Continental Navy as a demonstration of the Commonwealth as a regional power and a force on the world stage. Officially, this will showcase Anderin's emergence from the period of isolation since the end of the Implarian Wars secured the nation's maritime frontiers. The CAS Conamara has served faithfully since 1944 built upon the combat experience and technological know-how since the Pearl Isles were secured, as well as global naval expertise and was named after the last "Quick Connie" distinguished herself in naval conflict with imperial powers around the Implarian island chain. Conamara constituted a rarely seen class of heavy cruisers with some of the speed and agility capabilities of cruisers combined with the firepower of a battleship with a fraction of the maintenance. Recently refitted, the Conamara has been upgraded with the latest missile batteries, anti-air systems and command and control systems for a truly modern capital-class naval vessel and will conduct roles of international cooperation and deterrence faithfully at the head of her new mission. Flanking the newly-upgraded heavy cruiser are the guided missile cruisers, CAS Ballyméinn, CAS Cuandara and CAS Concord, three Baile Duin class light cruisers upgraded to guided missile cruisers with a long and successful lineage. At each port of call, the Fleet will be entertaining foreign dignitaries followed by open viewing to the public, where our sailors will entertain with famed Anderian hospitality, mateship, quirks and share in good will and good cheer with the people of all nations. Members of the Commonwealth Diplomatic Corps will receive dignitaries alongside naval officers led by Admiral Seán Ó Cathasaigh with treaties of friendship and trade on offer where so desired.
The Fleet is expected to circumnavigate the world, traveling to North Boreas and Gallo-Germania first, followed by the long sea and rounding Himyar with a final stop in the Ivernish Himyari Commonwealth. The Gothic Sea has been notably excluded from the planned route due to the escalation of tensions on that sea related to the Ivernish Civil War and Kadikistani interactions with neighboring nations.
