BLACK TIDES
As conflict against Tarusa expands oil exports surge, taking Aureus to new high. Majority of banks agree it's good news for drillers, royal treasury and consumers but more pain for manufacturers. The Royal Investment Corporation took advantage of the momentum to liquidate its stake in formerly troubled oil driller Horizon for substantial profit as shares surge on rising oil prices, news that dispute over drilling rights for DIS-VI field resolved. Shrugging off currency headwinds sentiment in industry rose as rumors swirl that bidding for life extension of massive Luna Nuclear Plant will soon begin; phased overhaul of the 5 GW plants six reactors is expected to take fifteen years and has long been anticipated by industry watchers who estimate billions in procurement contracts are up for grabs.

SHIELD OF THE SUN
Flagship of the Thaumantic Fleet, carrier CR Venus Felix ordered to the Islands of the Sun to lead fleet maneuvers. In a public statement the Master of the Fleet stated the Rex has become deeply alarmed by the expanding conflict against Tarusa and has directed the armed forces to take measures to uphold his imperium. Reportedly the fleet will practice repelling a simulated air and missile attack on crtitical infrastructure in Caelia and practice clearing mines laid covertly in a Caelian harbor. The Master of the Fleet also announced the carrier CR Libera, currently in dry dock for propulsion maintenance, would sail ahead of schedule as the Rex had ordered all three carriers to be "combat capable" as soon as possible.

SPEAK FOR THE CITIES
The Royal Household has released details of the Rex's agenda for the forthcoming civic congress. The Household confirmed 134 of the Imperium's 137 Consuls, representing Caelia's 137 Civitas, will be in attendance with two Consuls absent for medical reasons and the third for "exceptional circumstances". The Rex is expected to admonish the assembled Consuls for again failing to stem the tide of rising property crime and for the lack of progress by some of the largest and most prosperous Civitas to reduce commuting time, which the Rex is concerned is becoming both a drag on Caelian prosperity and a major burden on common peoples quality of life. Measures to support the ongoing transition to remote work will be on the agenda, particularly Royal funds for Civitas to continue upgrading telecommunication infrastructure, and the value of flexible zoning. And though details were lacking owing to the sensitivity of the matter, a significant portion of the congress will be devoted to civic defense militias and the continued need for local military readiness. The annual civic assembly is one of the most important political events in Caelia as it brings together the local elected leaders who are responsible for most Caelian's bread-and-butter concerns and the Rex who holds in his hands the fate of the Imperium and the Caelian race as a whole.
