NOTICE OF EXERCISES
2/3/1956 - 7:35 PM

The Tiburan Empire would like to inform our neighbours in the Long Sea, as per international military and diplomatic protocol, that the Imperial Navy and Air Force will be conducting large scale exercises within the Empire's Territorial Waters and Exclusive Economic Zone, north of Elenonisos Island, approximately 12 nautical miles from the coast.

The exercises, code-named "Fire in the Archipelago", will be conducted from the 3rd to the 9th of March of this year. Constant radio messages on all frequencies will be transmitted to remind nearby ships that exercises and not actual combat operations are taking place and the Imperial Armed Forces will make sure to not interfere with shipping in the region.

The Imperial General Staff will be constantly ready to respond to questions and concern of our neighboring nations, should we be contacted. This announcement is in accordance with a previous notice issued on 26/2/1956, as part of our mobilisation of our Navy, Military Aviation and our I and II Armies. All exercises conducted will be strictly within the letter of international law.

We fully understand that armed forces have to exercise from time to time. We also thank the Government of the Propontine Empire for notifying us. We would like to ask to keep the trade routes free as much as possible.

"While the Democratic Republic of Kadikistan and the Propontine Empire have had many differences in the past and will most likely continue to have them in the future, we understand and appreciate the need every maritime country has for naval exercises. We trust the Propontine Imperial Navy will remain professional and steer clear of the major trade routes and Kadikistani territorial waters."
