Scania is more than willing to support the S.Carolina secessionists (though informally until they have the upper-hand). You tell me what you need and how (or if you want help at all) and I will try to make it happen.

My plan is as followed:

The State Governors will meet and discuss the route of action. They more or less don’t care what the National Government has to say. Eventually, Sanford will approve military action to be made in order to keep the Confederacy together; also he will have the Blue Ops arrest the members of the meeting. This will push all “progressive” states over the edge. More states will declare independence, and then unify together (South Carolina included) and reform the Confederate States and move to remove the Fascists from power.

A war will ensue, of course, but it’ll be extremely quick. Popular support will continue to die for the Fascists, who will find themselves bankrupt. If foreign nations supply the progressives with money, they can get the upper hand and end the hostilities quickly and without mass casualties.

After the fascists are removed from power, the new Confederate States will readopt the former constitution and begin the liberalization, living happily ever after.

As for what Scania can do, it would be best to wait until the rebellion is officially formed, then have at it. In the end, Scania will find an ally in the New Confederacy.

Depending on how this progress', I may support either side. Most likely the reacting party however, I'd be more interested in maintaining the status quo then allowing a democratic revolution.

Maintaining the status quo in this situation will be less beneficial, only because the fascists are quickly losing their grip and the democratic government will have a habit of promising other nations almost anything, because intervention that is against them will be punishing.

It's not entirely relevant if they are losing their grip. Dissidents can be made to disappear.

The FCU will most likely be reluctant to approach this situation and depending on how it will progress. However it would much prefer that the status quo be maintained.

I leave for a week and there is a rebellion off my coast.

 Being so close and probably supportive of the secessionists. They can likely find a friend in the archduchy. I can give you money and arms and I don't care about secrecy so I can openly help you. Also I'm in a better position to assist than anyone else.

your support is most appreciated

all the money you give to the new government will be paid back, eventually.
