Questions are rightfully raised by the Engellexian Republic Parlement on the present experiences of diplomatic and commercial relations between the Engellexian Republic and the Aurarine Republic and the Kingdom of Eiffelland-Retalia. Recent opportunities to observe and study the conditions prevailing in Middle Europe, and globally, in respect of international cooperation and trading relations, have suggested a much greater attachment is required during these times, and indeed for the future, of the Republic Diplomatic Service to Engellexic wider interests; as it does indeed with your own interests, with your own diplomatic services.

I hope your respective governments will be forgiving of the Foreign Affairs Joint Committee, of the Engellexian Republic, in not working with rapidity, and dealing with the considerations and reforms addressed by the Northern President and Southern President at the Council of the Republic address to the Engellexian Republic Parlement earlier this year. The Council of the Republic then, and still do insist to believe, in emphasizing, as they have done in speeches, the need for traditional and improved provision of a system and infrastructure for our diplomatic service that is mutually recognizable. Reforms of the late Lord Protector found difficulties where other government were misunderstanding of purpose and operation.

As forward thinking the First Republic prefers to assert and practice, it cannot strain too hard on the leash that ultimately binds it with her geographical neighbours.

It is from this point of view that a prestige or, as I may perhaps better describe it, face, may be realized, mutually and quite favourably, in re-establishing suitable diplomatic functions, of the fullest degree, within your respective capitals; to personally invite your governments to achieve greater diplomatic ability and visibility within the new capital of Hammersmith; before any other government outside of the Thaumantic.

To more appropriately realize the potential of future relations, and to demonstrate sincere commitment to that prosperous determination, an invitation for a working visit by your respective Heads of Government on behalf of the President of the Northern Constituent Republics of the Engellexian Republic is being extended to you.

Dear Secretary Threadneedles,

It is with significant delight that this correspondence found itself cross my desk. In a continent plagued by monarchy and religious demagoguery, there exists a camaraderie between the Aurarine Republic and the Engellexic Republic that is all the more extraordinary given the extraordinary history our countries share.

There has permeated among our countries and unfortunate suspension of regular relations. Events of such significance have occurred since that suspension that compels the Aurarian Government to reconsider its positions and engagements with the global community. The highest priority of our mission is the Engellexic Republic.

The Aurarine Republic is privileged to have received the invitation to Hammersmith and it is honored to announce our acceptance. The Republic shall make the necessary arrangements for President Manuel Sanabria to arrive in Hammersmith and mark this momentous occasion as his first trip to the First Republic and the first to have occurred from an Aurarine Head of State in a period of time too long to be acceptable.
