To the imperial government of Yujin.
As you may be aware by now, your incursions into Vangalan territory have failed most dramatically and the combined forces of the RDTO and the Vangalan people it has sworn to protect have defeated Yu imperial aggression. Your country is in open revolt and any dreams of defeating Carentanian, Havenite or Vangalan forces must be abandoned. We could dwell longer on our victories, but such vanity - especially over the corpses of many innocent men and women - is beneath us.
Carentania has no intention of invading Yu territory. We have no intention of committing further forces to the east and expanding an already needless war at the cost of Yu workers and peasants. We therefore have decided to offer the Empire of Yujin a conditional peace.
1. Yujin formally guarantuees non-agression towards the Vangalan government and people.
2. The city of Liangang is released as independent commune.
We deem these conditions reasonable, as they will ensure that any peace signed between our parties does not lead to a Carentanian abandonment of its friends and allies in the region. Non-aggression towards Vangala will ensure that Yujin is not seeking to repeat its attacks upon Vangala once Carentanian forces have left the region, while a free Liangang will ensure that the people of Liangang, who have risen in revolt during the consulate crisis, will not have to face retributions for their support in evacuating Carentanian citizens from the city.
The Workers' Republic of Carentania hopes that the Emperor finds these terms acceptable, but we also warn you that a rejection will force us to further expand our commitment to the east and that, once this happened, a return to these conditions of peace is not possible.
