This message is sent regarding the arrest of missionaries from the Reformed Church of Potenza, captured later last week. I would like to come to Vangala at my expense and communicate with the appropriate parties to begin negotiations for a release of the RCP personnel, along with their possessions.

The Foreign Ministry of the Grand Duchy would like to begin negotiations for the release of the missionaries. In light of the trouble they have caused the Vangalan government, we would like to propose these circumstances:

1) The missionaries will be released and sent back to the Grand Duchy of Potenza, at the Grand Duchy's expense.

2) The missionaries' material and possessions, including Bibles, can remain in Vangalan hands, and may be dealt with as best the local and national authorities deem worthy.

3) If the Vangalan government wishes to enact a ban on the individual missionaries' travel back into Vangala, we will honor and uphold this as far as our own authorities and law enforcement are able.

The Supreme People's Prosecutor has entered into communication with the relevant authorities in Indrakil District, Kitadesh Province responsible for the detainment of missionaries from the Potenzan Reformed Church for further understanding of the situation. May it be noted it is not common policy of the national government of the People's Republic of Vangala to interfere with local legal processes, or to comment on specific investigations, especially to external powers.

Initial evidence indicates a number of laws pertaining to the maintenance of social harmony were ignored. Authorities from Beyul Demazong District, Denjong District and Nye-mae-el District are concerned violations also occurred in their jurisdictions.

The Supreme People's Prosecutor will relay your proposals to the authorities in the affected Districts, and should they find them agreeable we can begin to organise the transportation of the detained parties to Potenza, and the necessary repercussions.

The Grand Duchy is aware that Vangala's government is currently seeking some form of recognition among the international community. We would be more than happy to do so if a deal was made with those holding the missionaries, releasing them without any further harm or danger their being. The Bibles and other material can of course be treated with as their captors deem necessary. We likewise promise that the individual missionaries will be banned from returning to Vangala in the future.
