RESPECTED LEADER EXPRESSES SOLIDARITY WITH SOCIALIST WORLD
IN his first public address since the capital city was liberated by revolutionary forces, Respected Leader Jadugopal Basu, President of the People's Republic and General-Secretary of the Workers and Peasants Party, expressed feelings of unity and solidarity with the rest of the socialist world, which is now facing attack from all sides by reactionary powers. While lamenting the inability of Vangala to contribute to the defence of international socialism, he stressed the importance of consolidating the successes of the Revolution:
"The battle for the old Vangala is over, the battle for the new Vangala has just begun," He said, "The brave fighting men and women of the Revolution, who have seen so many of their comrades martyred in this great struggle, must remain with Mother Vangala until she is fully healed, and to ensure the sacrifices of their brothers and sisters were not in vain."
Respected Leader Basu also urged against ideological sectarianism, and warned Workers' Republic of Carentania not to abuse its position as the leading socialist nation. He in turn has promised to respect political pluralism within the Vangalan Workers' and Peasants' Party during his tenure as General-Secretary:
"Just as not one great river, but many great rivers, have made Vangala the beautiful and fertile land it is, so must the Party not have one great river of thought, but many great rivers of thought if we are to prosper."
In the same speech, made before thousands of proud revolutionaries assembled in newly-freed Kilkila, he further warned national divisionists not to continue their political and military activity:
"The lands and peoples that make-up Vangala have been bound together by the forces of history... the same forces of history that carried us into the capital, and the same forces that will lead you to your graves."
