Elections demanded for Praeses Populum
Opposition forces in the Congressus Popularis (Congress of the People) held street rallys this morning demanding the immediate resignation of the Praeses Populum (President of the People). The Praeses Populum is the democratic representative and head of the Civilis Amminstratio (Civil Administration/Government), the technocratic service that runs Exercitum. The CA is made up of Praeses Populum, the Praetors of the Templa Profectus (Temples of Progress) (Science, Technology, Art, Manufacturing and Philosophy) and the Cancellarius Senatus (Chancellor of the Senate).
The Flavian faction (centre-right, statist, interventionist) that controls both the CP and Senatus have rejected the Jovian (centre-left, liberal, pacifist) demands for immediate elections, citing that General Elections were due soon as the term of both the CP and Senatus were nearly over.
