RUBENOW | King William Announces Support for Dominion Movements

His Majesty King William II announced today that he supported movements towards dominion rule across Europe. The announcement came at the graduation ceremony of the latest class to pass through the gates of the Royal Naval Academy and into active service.

"We here in Winnemark have proven that our royal rule is superior in every way to the liberal fantasies of democratic Europe," His Majesty King William stated in his speech. "Look across the great lands of our kingdom, and what do you see? Safety, prosperity, and national pride. And what does the rest of Europe have? Chaos and fear. This alone proves our superior method."

King William made this response into a movement back towards dominion rule in Montelimar, and added that Europe's royal families have been blessed by God with superior governing knowledge.

"But not all monarchies have wisely or correctly used their powers," His Majesty continued. "In fact, some of withered their power away and wasted it into oblivion. I speak specifically of the silly kings in Eiffelland and Weise. How could they are allowed their states to become what they are today? Something must be done to reverse the trend and allow God's will to reign across the planes of Europe. This is the cause you have signed up for. This is the cause that will carry you and our nation forward."

RUBENOW | Court Concerned Over Deteriorating Security Situation in Central Europe

With tensions escalating between Engellex and Montelimar, the Court of Bredenbeck expressed concern that the growing hostilities in central Europe may soon spill over the borders of the Holy Kingdom. The statement came in a speech today from Lord High Commissioner for External Affairs of the Kingdom Grand Duke Daniel Scholz in front of the External Relations committee of the Council of State.

"This conflict may soon find our borders," Grand Duke Scholz said. "With a conflict already raging across the bay and another growing just across the plains, it is a situation that may soon require us to defend our God given right of rule. When this time comes, every able bodied man, woman and child in the Holy Kingdom must be prepared to fight for our livelihood. That is what God requires of us."

The Grand Duke also remarked on the causes of the growing conflict.

"Clearly, tensions that have long been building between the royal houses of Central Europe--or should I say faux-royal houses, in the case of some countries--are finally coming to a head," Grand Duke Scholz said. "It is clear who the agitators are in this situation and that the exploding conflicts are simply God responding with his might and fury. He knows--we know--those who have squandered the divine right and those who have embraced it in His vision and His will.

"If and when the conflict reaches our Kingdom, the King and the rest of the Court are ready to do what is necessary to protect those that have not squandered the divine right that God has bestowed upon them. Let those of Europe who have not embraced His rule prepare for the fate that has befallen them."

The Grand Duke also emphasized that the King had not asked his militaries to prepare for conflict, at least not yet. "We are not at that point yet, and would hate to disrupt the prosperity that has befallen our great Kingdom," he said. "The King and the Court have made the determination that a nationwide mobilization is not yet needed. But when it is, we will act quickly and decisively."

The Free State of Wendmark is extremely puzzled by the statements coming from the Kingdom of Winnemark. Indeed, this so called myth about the European Defence Federation seeking to rule them all and in the darkness bind them has been used over and over by Engellex, and now apparently by Winnemark, as an old vinyl disk. Played over and over again, the same refrain about some sort of alliance of evil from some of the world's most politically free nations is not only becoming a nuisance to the ears of the international community, but coupled with aggressive, imperialist wars of conquest, only undermines the peace and prosperity of Gallo-Germania. After all, we here in Einsiedeln have for decades maintained our independence from the European Defence Federation by the simple fact of not adhering to the organisation. And we shall have to disappoint the Monarchs of Engellex and Winnemark: the Free State has suffered no pressures to fold into the organisation.

The Free State in the most strongest terms condemns the unwise words of the King of Winnemark and calls upon him to learn such simple matters as historic facts, that clearly indicate that all that the European Defence Federation is accused of is naught but lies. It was indeed the Urbanist regime in Torrence that conducted terrorist actions and assassinations against EDF member states, culminating in the genocidal and maniacal murder of thousands of Nicosian expatriates that were rounded up all over Solaren and sent to death camps. Does the King of Winnemark, thus, endorse such actions? Would he stand and applaud joyfully as his own subjects were rounded up and shot en masse in some far away land and agree that these acts were ones of "mercy"? If such is the case, then the Free State can do nothing but offer its condolences to the good people of Winnemark, for their sovereign shall lead them to ruin. It is naught but proof that the state propaganda machine of Winnemark, tangled as it is in its own web of lies, has failed utterly and completely in its dark deeds.

And when the member states of the European Defence Federation increased their defences along the border with Solaren, in a protective move that is the sovereign power of any country, inscribed within the sacred right to defend itself from barbaric aggressors, the Urbanist regime attacked, using weapons of mass destruction. And yet somehow it is the one who raises the shield to protect himself that is to blame for being attacked. What kind of world would we live in if indeed all believed this to be true? A world deprived of justice and security, certainly, a world where the strongest dictate their will to the weakest in complete disregard for the noble ideals of freedom and liberty.

The Free State calls upon the King of Winnemark to revise his statements and divert from his course of plunging Gallo-Germania into even more suffering and bloodshed.

The Right Honourable The Secretary of State has received the Command of Her Engellexic Majesty The Queen to make known the following gracious Statement of her Engellexic Majesty to the King, and Lordships of the Kingdom of Winnemark.​

I am instructed to EXPRESS on behalf of her Engellexic Majesty;

That her Engellexic Majesty has deemed it her duty not to decline any overtures which might reasonably afford a prospect of a swift and just cause for peace. The Queen also expressed her determination for negotiations for such a treaty that will formalise the relationship that has formed over time between the Union of Great Engellex and the Kingdom of Winnemark. It is believed right and proper to begin those negotiations shortly, with the circumstances before us.

In conducting those negotiations we should be careful not to lose sight of the objects for which the war, that has compelled us to the level of cooperation, was under taken; and Great Engellex shall deem it right in no degree to relax her naval and military operations until a satisfactory treaty of peace has been concluded with the European Defence Federation, and that the territorial, political and economic interests of the Kingdom of Winnemark have been satisfied without hindrance by the overbearing power of that odious alliance.

Although the war which this realm is engaged in was brought on by events in southern Preuti-Borussia (Gallia-Germania), her Majesty’s attention has not been withdrawn from the states of things elsewhere in the region, and, in conjunction with other states, will be concluding treaties containing defensive engagements applicable to the Free and Sovereign nations of the region, and tending to the restoration of a balance of power in this part of Europe. It should also be acknowledged, because of unfavourably made statements, that her Majesty implores the King of Winnemark to not find any areas of agreement with the intolerable position of Wendmark; whom is neither free or a state but a vassal entangled within the puppetry of Nurnberg.

A treaty with Winnemark would contain the furthering of our friendship, commerce, and mutual defence in recognition of our mutual commitment to our close and resilient friendship.​

The Court of Bredenebeck stands fully behind the statements made previously by His Majesty King William of Rubenow. The fact that the Free State of Wendmark has rejected to see the true colors of the European Defence Federation and their political brinkmanship only highlights how deeply their are tied to the EDF machine. Wendmark's complacency towards the policies of the European Defence Federation is part of the reason Europe is in the state of conflict it currently it is. Their complanency is only highlighted by the agreement of cooperation signed between Wendmark and the European Defence Federation. Had they truly chosen to resist the policies of the EDF, as they claim in their statement, they would have rejected even the sugestion of such an agreement between their state and the Federation, as well as actively worked to promote an alternative way in Europe. But they have failed at that, and now others, including Engellex and the Kingdom of Winnemark, have been selected by the Almighty God to provide that new direction.

The Court of Bredenebeck also notes that the government of the Free State can sit in Einsiedeln and talk about the atrocities committed by the Solaren Urban all they like. But in our eyes, we fail to see how the comparison is applicable to the policies of the European Defence Federation. In fact, we believe the Solaren war only works to further highlight Wendmark's complacency with the political brinksmanship that is dragging Europe down. The King and this Court stand fully behind the the Union of Great Engellex. An idealistic and blatantly misguided statement from the Wendmark Free State is not going to change that.

Furthermore, the Court of Bredenbeck would be more then interested in negotiating a treaty with the Great Engellex Union. Long have our Kingdoms stood side by side as friends. This step can only further that friendship.

The Court of Bredenbeck is most cordially invited to provide factual examples of misbehavior on the part of the European Defence Federation that would equal in horror the atrocities and crimes committed by the Urbanist regime against both sovereign powers and its own people. So far, all that is heard from Rubenow is incessant chatter without any background, context or facts and Einsiedeln does not base its policies on intangible rumours or some presumed vox Dei. The Free State shall most attentively consider whatever factual and objective arguments the Court of Bredenbeck has to offer in the elaboration of further Free State policies towards the European Defence Federation, of course should such tangible arguments be provided.

This Court believes the facts are clear. The Wendmark Free State argues that the best way to neutralize the power of the European Defence Federation is to ignore it, as they have argue they have done. However, their cooperation agreement and tacit support during the recent conflicts suggest otherwise. Winnemark is supportive of pioneering a new way forward, one devoid of the political brinksmanship that the EDF has brought to our land. This is one of many reasons we support the Engellex act. We only wish the Free State had the vision and determination to bring a new found prosperity to Central Europe. Had they been blessed with such policy inclinations, perhaps they would have sought to counter the Defence Federation before we reached this point. It is quite regrettable and He shall not look kindly upon their policy omission come judgement day.

With this being said, this Court will try and remember to seek the approval of the Wendmark government when making future national policy decision, and we can't believe we forgot in this instance! Please accept our sincere apologies.

If the Court believes the facts are clear, then surely there is no issue with presenting these clear facts in an open fashion for consideration. We shall be happy to study what facts the Kingdom of Winnemark may offer. In the meantime, it is the Free State of Wendmark has cited clear and objective facts that show the criminal nature of the Urbanist regime, which was the first to initiate crimes and was the first to commit an act of war, an act of overt aggression, against the Kingdom of Lorraine.

It is also the position of this government that ill concieved sarcasm and attempts at mockery unfitting of a formal diplomatic missive shall not win the Kingdom of Winnemark any support in Einsiedeln or in any other European capital, aside from the now well established Dulwich-Imperial-Rubenow-Torrence Axis. However, in a spirit of good will towards the Court of Bredenbeck, the Free State of Wendmark hereby accepts the formal and official apologies as presented in the previous missive as to not increase any tensions.

P.S. In a spirit of good humour, our own missive contains an offensive pun for our counterparts in Winnemark to locate, for which the Foreign Affairs Department preemptively issues its own sincere apologies.

General Mobilisation Ordered for Royal Armed Forces

All active duty members of the Royal Armed Forces have been requested to report for duty as a general mobilisation order has been issued for all three branches of the military.

Defence officials told RBS that the general mobilisation order was issued in response to growing concern that the European Defence Federation could retaliate against the Kingdom of Winnemark for its announced support of Engellex.

"We are concerned that the [European] Defence Federation will attack our Kingdom and strike out against His Majesty simply because he voiced support for a cause he believes in," one official said. "This general mobilisation is a purely defensive measure, nothing more than that. The King is simply concerned for the well-being of his people. Judging by EDF standards, though, this is likely to be considered a crime."

The mobilisation is effective immediately, and requires all those on temporary leaves to return to their bases as soon as possible. At this point, the mobilisation order does not extend beyond those currently on active duty.

High Command Announces Increased Patrols in Eastern Duchies in Response to Eiffelland Mobilisation

Increased border patrols have been ordered by the Royal Armed Forces High Command in the duchies of Eastern Winnemark to ensure the Kingdom's territorial integrity after Eiffelland announced their own military mobilisation. Several additional infantry units have also been sent to bases in the eastern territories that border Eiffelland in order to assist with the patrols.

In a statement released from the High Command, they called the move another defensive maneuver motivated by the mobilisation and rhetoric of the Eiffelland government.

"After our initial mobilisation, the Eiffelland government decided to respond in kind, all while accusing our state of war mongering," the statement begins. "We would like to reiterate that Winnemark harbours no such intentions towards the Eiffelland state, and that our initial mobilisation was in response to perceived aggression from the European Defence Federation. This mobilisation was simply a defensive measure. The deployment of additional infantry units and increased patrols along the border with Eiffelland are in the same vain; a basic defensive measure designed to ensure that we do not fall victim to Federation aggression. However, we are incredibly concerned by the Eiffelland acts that have now increased the tension between our two states. We are especially concerned by the harsh rhetoric from Chancellor Von Seydewitz and worry what his intentions - as well as those of the EDF - are. Until such a time that Eiffelland military units return to a state of peacetime readiness, the military status quo on our side of the border will persist."

The statement also announced that, should tensions reach the point of open conflict, the High Command would be ready to take all the steps necessary to ensure the continued supremacy of the Winnemark Kingdom.

"God has blessed our Kingdom in ways He has no other, and if Winnemark is forced to enter into armed conflict, it is not something that we will shy away from," the statement said. "We are confident that His will will allow us to be victorious."

It would have been wise to have listened to Chancellor Graf von Seydewitz's whole speech. Then it would have become clear that he also indicated that Eiffelland will respect Winnemark's sovereignty. This means that we will not be the first ones crossing the border between Eiffelland and Winnemark with military intentions.


At this moment, we cannot fulfil the demand of Winnemark's government regarding demobilising our armed forces to a peacetime readiness, due to the following reasons:

1. The EDF is at war with Solaren, and with the EDF Eiffelland.
2. Engellex attacked one of Eiffelland's allies.
3. Our neighbourcountry Winnemark issued a full mobilisation.

Reason 1 and 2 are beyond Winnemark's control, but reason 3 is within Winnemark's control.

I want to make clear that Winnemark's initial mobilisation was totally uncalled for. Winnemark announced its support for Engellex, and the only action we took was noting it. Nothing more. Ground forces we mobilised were destined for Solaren.
Then suddenly our neighbour Winnemark mobilised and gave a vague notion of "EDF-supremacy" as a reason for that. I have news for the Government of Winnemark: Eiffelland is a member of the EDF. How strange is it then that we felt threatened by the Winnemarker full mobilisation?

We won't demobilise before there are clear arrangements between Eiffelland and Winnemark about a mutual demobilisation. We invite representants of the Winnemarker government to discuss those arrangements.

Thus, Danmark invites Winnemark to participate in the greater good and general peace that is shared with us and our close friends and allies in Eiffelland, Wendmark, and Franken. The Kingdom of Danmark extends the hand of cooperation and friendship to the peoples and government of Winnemark.

Never was a great illusion more barbarously destroyed. Never did the Federation display less tact and foresight than on this August occasion. For the last year or so the preparations of war had been going on so publicly, the means were being so openly prepared, that no one in Europe could doubt but that all was going on with the scheming of the Federation. The whole population of the Federation yielded to that fatal illusion, while their autocrats did nothing to hide the manifestation of their imperial ambition. These people, of the European Defence Federation, are silent, and have allowed the unscrupulous and dangerous behaviour of their leaders to continue without question.

One would like to hope that as the face of the Eiffellandian war machine turns to the peaceful and green pastures of the Kingdom of Winnemark, that the people of the Federation would be compelled to reject the assertion that the free and liberal peoples of Europe must be destroyed and enslaved. It is an absolute crime that a nation that her Imperial and Royal Majesty once held the regard as being the cradle of Europe’s peaceful and liberal thought should transpire to be a brutal force against the expression of independent thought and existence of sovereignty. The decision of the Eiffelland Crown to mobilise the realm in anticipation of hostilities against the Kingdom of Winnemark is without reason or just cause. There shall be no reasoning, no justification, for the aggression endured by Preuti-Borussia from the Federation.

The Foreign Policy of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty has evolved to meet the circumstances and adopt new conditions, one in which we will state publicly and clearly :- that the Empire of Great Engellex will guarantee the independence of the Kingdom of Winnemark, and the freedom and liberal thought of its people, by an act of war against the Kingdom of Eiffelland, if made to be necessary. The Kingdom of Danmark has made known her inclination to the terrorism of national sovereignty actioned by the Federation, or more so, maybe we are witness to the successful betrayal of the Danish people by their own leadership through the infiltration of the Federation’s autocratic establishment. 3 Traitors Caught Attempting to Defect to Danmark

Three traitors to the Crown were caught attempting to defect across the Kingdom's northern border to Danmark late Saturday night. The treasonous individuals were apprehended by border patrol agents in a rural region of Surendorf less than 100 metres from the border. All three individuals were Winnemark nationals.

The traitors were reportedly carrying reams of reports and observations of Winnemark military activity in the border region, according to a government spokesperson. Police officials suspect that the traitors were attempting to provide this intelligence to the European Defence Federation in the attempt to aid them in a pre-emptive strike against the Kingdom of Winnemark.

Police say that the traitors were motivated to carry out this task because of bribes and offers of riches that the Federation secretly offered to these men, not due to any political considerations.

The Ministry for External Affairs of the Kingdom responded to the arrests by calling on the European Defence Federation to quit its fear-mongering and keep out of the internal affairs of Winnemark.

"We do not appreciate the attempts of the European Defence Federation to covertly influence our citizens and coerces them to betray the Crown against their will," the Ministry said in a statement. "Furthermore, we are extremely concerned by actions of the Federation that continue to point towards a pre-emeptive strike against the Kingdom of Winnemark, this action being one of them. The way the European Defence Federation continues to push towards war in Central Germania is very concerning to the Kingdom of Winnemark. The Federation should be warned that Winnemark is prepared for any conflict that may be forced upon us, and God will lead us to victory."

Government officials have responded with force, announcing they would seek the harshest penalties possible for one accused of treason against the Crown - death by hanging. They expressed confidence that this would be the verdict and sentence ultimately reached by the courts.

"We will not tolerate traitors against the Crown of the Kingdom of Winnemark," the Royal Police of Winnemark said in a statement. "This men committed disgusting acts against our nation and our leader, His Majesty King William. We will not stand for this; we will not allow such activities to go unpunished."

The Royal Police said they would also step up operations to uncover other espionage activities being conducted by the European Defence Federation.
