Kadikistan to increase its foreign policy
Comrade President Nikolas Leninov announces that the nation will fully return to the international stage

Ivar -- In an impressive press conference earlier today Comrade President Nikolas Leninov has announced that after nearly twelve years of semi-isolation the nation will make a comeback onto the international stage. With the war on counter revolutionaries officially declared over last week this new move comes as no surprise. It was however made abundantly clear that the internal policy of self-reliance will not be changed. “This decision has been made by me, as leader and protector of this great nation, and the Supreme Soviet in order to further international solidarity among Leninovists and like-minded radical leftists throughout Europe”, our great leader said. “By no means do we wish to come back on our promise that this government will make our nation a strong regional power without any foreign influence”, he added near the end of the conference. During the conference it was also announced that our nation will attempt to strengthen its existing diplomatic relations with nations such as Vangala. Relations with these socialist nations existed before and it is without a doubt that after today they will flourish once more.

After our Glorious leader was finished outlining the new external policy the relatively young Colonel Yorisk Vinsko took to the stage and asked the attention of the international media that was present. Colonel Vinsko afterwards gave a passionate and inspiring speech about our state ideology, Leninovism. He had done so by the order of our leader to clarify Kadikistani politics. After all Leninovism only became our nations ideology after Nikolas Leninov was elected president ten years ago, after our nation went into semi-isolation. Thus in light of recent events the wise decision was made to enlighten Europe.

Yorisk Vinkso, Chairman of the Leninovist Studies Group at the Sickle University, Colonel in Kadikistani armed forces:
"Comrades and friends, it is my pleasure to address our great nation and communists throughout Europe on the subject of Leninovism and Kadikistan’s role in the antifascist struggle. I will start with the ideology witch changed the lives of all Kadikistani's, the gift of our Great leader Comrade-President Nikolas Leninov.

Comrade Nikolas Leninov is a man of many great accomplishments in the fields of ideology, politics, literature and warfare but his most enduring contribution has been the creation of Leninovism. Indeed Kadikistan’s Leninovist politics are vital to European anti-fascism, anti-imperialist struggle and is a powerful weapon in the fight against the unceasing expansion of alliances such as the European Defence Federation.

No doubt many Europeans are wondering what Leninovism is. It could be otherwise described as a military priority policy combined with the ideology of self-reliance, meaning that the socialist army always comes first and that true communist nations should not be dependent from other nations. The ideology was explained for the first time by our beloved comrade-president when he visited the Kadikistani military harbour in Klinsk on the 20th of August 2001. He explained to the soldiers stationed in Klinsk that they had the choice of being an independent equal people or becoming the colonial slaves of imperialist nations such as Oikawa and Solaren. To defend Leninovism, he pointed out, it was vital and necessary to give priority to the army. Without a powerful and modern army a nation cannot preserve such a great ideology, especially in rightist Europe. Our glorious leader knows this, the soldiers in Klinsk know this and the people of Kadikistan know this.

The confrontation between communists and centrists or rightist nations have grown particularly intense in the last years. There have been many wars involving socialist nations or popular uprisings in the last decades. All wars were Leninovists and other true communists fought bravely against countless enemies. However because of these wars and the treachery of counter-revolutionary elements in a number of socialist countries many of them collapsed or ceased to exist. Also some remaining socialist and anti-imperialist countries took a friendly stance towards capitalism and imperialism leaving the proletariat to fight alone against an aggressive fascist Europe.

Communism and indeed socialist nations needed more defense against things such as embargo's, economic boycotts and most important collapsing allies. It was now clear that Socialist nations needed to be completely independent from other nations. Self-reliance is the dream that Comrade President Leninov had, and today his dream has become a reality! Kadikistan is currently able to be nearly 100% self-sufficient, receiving the rest from nations that do not flirt with rightists.

It is very important here to dispel any misconceptions or misunderstandings about Leninovism. It does not mean as some people claim that the Democratic Republic of Kadikistan is a military government or that the nation is a military dictatorship, such rumours are ill-informed to say at the least. In a free nation such as Kadikistan the armed forces fulfil different roles then in other nations. In imperialist countries armed forces are used in wars of aggression and to oppress the people, whereas in the socialist countries they defend the independence of the country and the socialist system.

In Kadikistan it has always been made clear that the People's Party, the farmers and the Workers lead the armed forces. The great leader President Nikolas Leninov defined the Kadikistani Socialist Army as the Army of the working class and the revolution. If socialism is too survive in Europe, it will be under the name Leninovism."

'Otchi Liberation Organisation' founded
A good day for the Otchi people as Kadikistan will make their voice be heard

Ivar -- The People's Party has undertaken a grand initiative today with the foundation of the 'Otchi Liberation Organisation' (OLO). This new state-sponsored organisation has the primary goal to defend the long oppressed Otchi people and aid them in achieving a truly independent nation. The newly appointed OLO chairman Colonel Mimicha Donaskov acted as a spokesperson for the organisation and announced this newest initiative earlier today. This comes merely two days after the Supreme Soviet and our Glorious leader approved its creation. During the press conference inside the Red Star news' main building in Ivar Colonel Donaskov also informed us about the main goals of the Otchi Liberation Organisation. "The goal that stands before all other goals in this organisation is the liberation of the noble Otchi people. This means that we will do everything within our power to ensure that these enslaved people are free from external oppression under which they have suffered for so long". These honourable word where shortly followed by "We as an organisation and a nation with a united people will not be satisfied with the current state of the Otchi people. These people deserve more then the status of being a puppet regime of the Aquitanian monarchy."

The Otchi people have been out of the international spotlight for almost a year now. Forgotten by the international community as if they where a mere cold that struck them some time ago. Back when the so called Freedom State, actually an oppressive dictatorship, was still around the Otchi people fought no less then three wars for self-determination and equal rights. The last one of those wars ending with tragedy as in its last days the remaining Freiheiter military started a systematic genocide against this proud people. However nearly a year after the Faust-regime was brutally removed by Greater Sarmatia and Warre, a removal which made an obscene amount of innocent civilian casualties, the situation hasn't improved much. Kadikistani specialists have unanimously concluded that the situation has in fact stagnated meaning that the Otchi people are equally worse off as they where under the rule of Faust. They still barely have their basic needs, they lack any political rights and their once great culture has been nearly annihilated.

Today the majority of the remaining Otchi people live in the Aquitanian puppet nation the 'Otchi Free State'. The name itself being a cruel reference to the Freedom State, apparently that's the kind of humour aristocrats enjoy at the court of 'Grand Duke' Jean III. Another large chunk remains in the Memorial Territories of the far-away-nation Greater Sarmatia. The latter has literally done everything within its power to destroy the Otchi spirit. Among other things they have divided the area into different provinces with the specific aim of undermining Otchi unity. Sadly they have largely succeeded in incorporating the people, Germanic and Otchi, to our west into there cultural sphere. The situation for the people living in the Aquitanian puppet isn't much better. Political rights for the people in this 'Free State' are below zero and the few Otchi who do posses a semi-important position are still strictly controlled by the capitalist leadership in Bordué.

The remaining Otchi people live either in the two major refuge camps in Kadikistan or scattered across Europe with the sole hope of escaping the clutches of oppression. These two refugee camps are called home by a total of 101,856 Otchi souls. These are the luckiest compared to their ethnic brothers and sisters. They receive the best healthcare are well supplied with basic needs and even enjoy a free education with many career opportunities. The OLO decided that the wisest move would be to withhold any information about the actions of the organisation not to give hostile nations a chance to destroy the organisation. One thing is sure however. The Otchi Liberation Organisation and the people it will fight for will forever have the support of our nation's people, its government and its Glorious leader.

Construction of the 'Red Wall' begins
Government and military undertake yet another grand endeavour to guarantee Kadikistan's security

Darkadi -- In a joint statement the People's Commissariat of Interior Affairs and the People's Commissariat of Defence and War have announced the creation of a new defensive line along the entire border with Greater Sarmatia. "Plans for the 'Red Wall' have been worked on for many years now. With the economy strong enough we decided that this was the right time start our nation's newest project", commissar of interior affairs Vladimir Vykov said. The red wall will be thousands of kilometres long and has the sole purpose of fending of an attack coming from Sarmatian's Memorial Territories. While the Greater Sarmatian dictatorial capitalists have not shown any hostility the last few months our leaders remain cautious and vigilant. "The brutal invasion of Greater Sarmatia has taught us many things about the nation. Mainly that it will stop at nothing, at least not until they meet the red wall.", General Pjotr Krashinsky added showing our nations feisty spirit.

The release of further information about the red wall was limited because our nation's leaders do not want to let it fall into the wrong hands. Naturally Red Star News would do nothing that could compromise our great country's security. We have however been given the liberty to state some general plans. We know that now the building has been started it has become our economy's main priority to finish it as soon as possible. At this point we can only imagine what wonders this initiative will do for the economy, especially the weapons industry and the public works sector. We also know that there will be an actual wall build with watchtowers. Five new bases will be created along the border which will support the wall in case of an attack. The defences itself will include some of the most modern Kadikistani military equipment and will be highly camouflaged to prevent foreign spies and satellites from judging our capabilities. The already present military force and defence line will definably receive a large upgrade.

From now on the entire border area is a no-go zone, the closest civilians are allowed is 45 kilometres away from Greater Sarmatia. Although this news agency wouldn't know what any civilian would go looking for in the former Freedom State. In total a little under seventy villages and towns will be relocated, its inhabitants most generously compensated for their loss. Furthermore the government has stated that it is currently debating about the possibility to expand the red wall so it could also cover the border with the monarchist dictatorship in Aquitania further statements where made. Kadikistan will not only stand as a beacon of true socialism, it will stand as an impenetrable fortress. Let us once again thank our leaders and our President Nikolas Leninov for guaranteeing the defence of our proud nation.

Portrait of a Hero
This week we honour Comrade General Bastiansk Obryanov

Ivar -- In this week's special segment 'Portrait of a Hero' we look deeper into one of our country's most esteemed hero's, comrade general Bastiansk Obryanov. Besides being the commander of our nation's most prestigious tank division the general has been a major force in Kadikistani politics for over twenty-eight years. His leadership played a key role during the height of the war against the counter-revolutionaries, a five-decade stand-off between the traitors and true communists. Comrade general Obryanov was kind enough to actively help in the making of this official state biography, thus once again earning our greatest respect.

Bastiansk Obryanov was born in Zakasvinko in the Davatski province on September 17, 1953. This is during the time that the civil war against the fascist dual-monarchy Davatski-Kadikistan was ongoing. As a child, Obryanov attended a local school where he learned to read and write. He also took a job taking care of cattle and continued until he was in his early teens. At the age of fifteen he was personally affected by the counter-revolution which followed soon after the communist victory over the monarchs. His father, a former miner who had valiantly taken up arms against oppression, had been killed in an ambush. In 1969, at the age of sixteen, Obryanov joined the then very new youth-wing of the People's Party. As a convinced Communist, he enrolled in the Socialist Liberation Army to fight against the counter-revolutionaries (commonly known as predateli). At the time former president Janukov Potraniski had already made much progress in eradicating the predateli menace.

After nearly four years of service in the war, Obryanov returned to Zakasvinko and was appointed manager of a mine as a reward. Two weeks earlier he had been shot in the leg and arm by a terrorist, for which he also received the "Hero of the Revolution" medal. Soon thereafter, he entered the Letski Industrial Institute, a fine worker's school that still exists today. There he received additional instruction from the People's Party. He became a political leader at school and was named the secretary of the school's People's Party Committee. He graduated in 1974 and soon became a full-time party official while maintaining his military rank of Lieutenant. A rising star in the People's Party Obryanov soon became a close associate and friend of future leader Nikolai Leninov.

His training in industrial administration had helped Obryanov in becoming secretary of a district People's Party committee in Letski. Within six years he became head of the party organization of Letski, thus joining the high ranks of party officials. His education and highly creative mind helped in the realization of many great projects including the construction of the city's subway system. The results of those projects are the main reasons why today many buildings in Letski bare the name Obryanov as he helped in making the city an effective living and working environment.

As a military man his break-through came during the 80's. After being promoted to the rank of Major for his efforts in the early days of the Davatski rebellion he was given one of the most vital tasks by the Supreme Soviet. This task existed out of destroying the rebel's main force, clearing northern Davatski of guerilla insurgents and eliminating their leadership. He was given six months to complete this task by finished it in no more then three. The entire nation was now looking at Bastiansk Obryanov in admiration and pride. He received another promotion at the end of his campaign and earned some of the highest medals. Shortly after the nation adapted the Leninovist policies Bastiansk Obryanov was promoted to general by our Glorious leader Comrade President Nikolai Leninov himself. According to our Glorious leader this final promotion was given because of Obryanov's enduring efforts against the predateli and unbreakable support for true communism. It is known that general Obryanov and his 6th tankers, who's loyalty towards him is indisputable, where a vital element in crushing the war against counter-revolutionaries which was declared over mere weeks ago.

On a more personal note general Obryanov has been in a union-before-the-state two times. His first wife, Daria Zhukonev, died during the famine which was the result of the civil war and collectivisation. It was his wife and many others who back then made the ultimate sacrifice to guarantee food and other basic needs for future generations. His second wife was Daria's younger sister Ekaterina with whom the general is still together. He has two sons and a daughter, his first son was named Nikolai after our Glorious leader. Together they live in the industrial capital of Kadikistan, Letski. However as a devoted general he spends most of his time with his "boys" in the 6th tankers near Schlebuchya city. As a well experienced tank commander, the free time he does have is often spend perfecting his abilities in his personal T-80 tank along with two of his longest Lieutenants. He is truly a man of his people.

One step closer to stability
Relations with Sørlandeten improve after fruitful meeting in Tananmøy

Tananmøy -- Our nation's foreign relations have once again been improved as our great government has signed a treaty with the nation of Sørlandeten. This treaty is already being called the biggest expansion of Kadikistan's external influence since the birth of Leninovism by many specialists. During a press conference in the early afternoon People's Commissar of External Affairs Dimitri Leninov outlined the different decisions that have been made and informed us of the benefits it will bring for the people of Kadikistan. "The primary purpose of this meeting was to create a lasting stability throughout the continent and indeed the world. I will begin by saying, we where more then successful in achieving this.", with these words our Glorious Leader's younger brother started the conference. It is indisputable that Commissar Dimitri Leninov has truly proven himself as Kadikistan's finest diplomat since we all know that relations between our nation and Sørlandeten have been uneasy to say the least.

The so-called 'Treaty of Tananmøy' insures stability on many fields. First and foremost we have achieved justice. The Kingdom of Sørlandeten has agreed in extraditing a little over 2,300 suspected criminals back to Kadikistan. Here they will all stand before a People's court and answer for crimes varying from terrorism to desertion and theft. A spokesperson for the justice department said these trials will take place soon and should be concluded by the end of next month. We all know that our fine nation is known for its swift, transparent and just legal system. The justice department also announced that the just under two thousand of the criminals face charges where the death penalty will be demanded. "It is our goal to show the Kadikistani people that hiding for justice is simply not possible. The state will demand the hardest punishment for those that undermine our great society.", the spokesperson said. This great accomplishment is however just one of many.

The second most important agreement is that a new shipping lane will been created to organise the now rather chaotic sea trade. Before today there where only unofficial trade lines that had little or no continuity which prevented naval authorities from properly guiding the many different ships of Kadikistan as well as other ships from abroad. Analysts say that this will surely improve our nation's trade and international prestige. But not only trade will benefit from the new shipping lane. Kadikistani naval vessels can now enter international waters unhindered. The Treaty of Tananmøy insures a corridor through the Iron Islands, the same that will be used by civilian vessels. In the past very dangerous cat and mouse games needed to be played before the military could enter international waters. From now on we will no longer need to explain ourself to any of our neighbours in regards to naval matters. In exchange for military passage our nation will pay an insignificant price annually. Civilian ships will not need to pay a single anar for using the lane. The price is insignificant because it doesn't nearly compare to the enormous profit that will be generated from the arrangements. Not to mention that illegal activities commited by criminals that took advantage of the former chaotic situation will be given a severe blow. Several smaller economic arrangements where also concluded, including some oil deals.

Last but not least a two-year non-aggression pact has been established bringing about a long awaited stability for the region. This pact between the Democratic Republic of Kadikistan and the Kingdom of Sørlandeten will be in effect on the first day of next month. Relations between us and our naighbours have been so poor in the past that several times we where on the verge of war. The fear that such a terrible thing would take place is now foolish and the Kadikistani people can rest easy for the next years. Other smaller matters where also discussed and will be made public over the next few days. However we can already say that this meeting and this day is truly historic. Let us all say thanks to the visionary behind this treaty, our Glorious leader President Nikolai Leninov, and the one who put it into practise, his brother Commissar Dimitri Leninov. Thank you!

The use of death penalty on such a massive scope in Kadikistan casts lasting doubts on the Kadikistani legal system. Carentania expresses its utmost concerns should the demands of the state prosecutors be met by the courts.

We fully understand that to outsiders this punishment might seem severe. We wish to ensure our Carentanian comrades that this is indeed a rare occasion, which asks for rare measures. Those who will stand trial for unspeakable crimes will be judged fairly by a people's court. We truly believe in re-education, but for some we must draw the line.
