Regions of the world map (beta)

This is a Beta map of the regions of the world.

I only really know Germania, and in fact only because davy did a good map of it a few days ago. So I openly welcome people to rename and reshape the regions to better fit the RP. In fact I encourage it, I used very generic names and I don't know how other people see the regions, especially people in those regions.


Once I got edits I will post an updated map, and so on, until we have an accurate and complete view of the regions.

So here is that map, it's a big 'un, maybe turn off your greasemonkeys and just click the link:

Funnily I think the first edit to be suggested will be myself, about my own nation. I think I'll be adding Ivernia to the ''Gallia'' region. As Ivernia is the land of the 'Gaels' and should be in the same region as the other celtic nation. I'll be keeping parts of the south and east in Germania, as they are filled with germanic people. Also the Islands will become Ponto-Scania.

Anyone who wants a detailed region breakdown of their own nation (especially big nations) feel free to ask.

Since it's not actually Greece, but instead likely little more than the joking product of one of our mapmakers. That area lies pretty far from the cultural heartland of what we generally consider to be "Europe", and with Tyrrhenia there, it makes far more sense to consider that area the hub of Greek culture (as is actually relevant to the Germans, Latins, etc.) during antiquity rather than a much more distant location further to the east.

Yeah it is a little. I lifted it from a great map of eurodisney that Etnaea made. But when I saw how big Gallia is shaping up to be I suppose I left in that division.

I suppose with Cantignia and Engellex on the mainland it makes no sense. I will resort them to ''Gallia'' in the next update then? See what it looks like?

For the "Europe" of this world, do we refer to it as Europe and its ethnical groups as Europeans as a whole?

You may also still run into problems with people identifying regions and associating races with them. Someone new isn't going to figure out what region Toyou is or Vangujin. A lot of it can be self-explanatory by the name, though some people may not know otherwise. Also is there some kind of list of continents somewhere?

Also yes, we do need some kind of explanation for the regions, and a basic break down of the ethnicities found in them. I'll get around to that!

That put me thinking in a thing, since Portusgalia is in Gaul region, but the portusgalian language is derived of Latin, we can assume the Portusgalians has "Tiburtinized Celts"

You know, Portusgalia is bordering the Latinium region. It would be no bother at all to put Portusgalia in it if that's what you'd like.

I'd like to file a complaint. Auraria is not located in South Occidentia, it is located in "Best Zulia-Santander." This white-washing of the Frescanophere will not be tolerated and will be remembered.

You know if the Zulia-Santander region location was described to me I'd add it of course.
