Following similar moves by other other two Karlskrona Accord member states, Frescania and Suionia, Her Majesty's Government of the Dominion of Dagomba enacted a series of economic sanctions against the Empire of Talemantros. According to a formal statement of the Government, an query was dispatched to Frescania and Suionia demanding clarification of the Accord's economic policies towards Engellex, as this state has also refused peace negotiations with Gorno-Altai, but was not included in the Accord's economic sanctions against Talemantros based on its own refusal of peace negotiations with Gorno-Altai.
Opposition sarcastically advises Government to keep war declarations handy. The leader of the opposition social-democrats, Jakob-Francis Batunga, advised the Government to "keep handy the declaration of war it issued against Engellex" in case "they [the Government] would seek to parrot their Suionian overlords again". The Socialist Party leader further counselled the Foreign Office to simply compile a typical declaration of war, listing "coz' Suionia sez so" (sic) as casus belli and leaving an open field, to write in the name of that country against which war is to be declared.

Following the shocking decision by Talemantros, Kiev and Sorlandeten to impose oil embargoes upon Frescania and Suionia, Dagomba's Energy Secretary Rolf Grindemyr has announced that the Dominion of Dagomba would respond in kind, imposing formal embargoes on oil companies from the aforementioned states from operating in Dagomba and from exploiting Dagomba's oil and gas fields. In addition, Secretary Grindemyr stated that Dagomba would remain true to the Karlskrona Accords and, if so required, increase Dagomba's daily output to counter any potential shortages in Frescania and Suionia.

Magnus Lindberg, head of the powerful Linberg family of prominent White Dagomban industrialists, is rumoured to eye the purchase of the Suionian colony of Nya Skane, located due south of Dagomba and consisting of an oasis surrounded largely by desert. The purchase, to be reportedly funded with the private funds of the billionaire, has not been officially confirmed by Herr Lindberg's representatives. Neither has there been any confirmation from the Lindberg Group, which controls such major Dagomban companies as food giant Berglund-Granit AB, the commercial docks of Söderhamn and others.
The rumours come after referenda in some Suionian colonies about rattachment with Cantigny. Analysts deem the supposed deal as a personal rescue package by Magnus Lindberg to Suionia, where the Lindberg family has economic interests of its own, namely by exporting Dagomban produce to Suionia. Whether the purchase would be purely financial or serve to promote the interests of the Lindbergs in Suionia is also subject to speculations, as is the question of what would Herr Lindberg do with New Scania if he becomes the owner of it. Sounds like he might realise through this deal the dream of having his own country.
