Saba reiterates the need for peace in Gallo-Germania and the World
  • The Nasrid Kingdom is to continue trading will all nations of Europe
  • Grand Vizier Zeyn Al-Harridi reiterates Saba's neutrality
  • The nation hopes that the peace conferences will be productive

With tensions running extremely high in Gallo-Germania, the government of the Nasrid Kingdom of Saba reiterates the need for the countries of the world to keep the peace of Europe, so that its peoples can enjoy the high standards of life that it has grown accustomed to in the 15th century AH (or 21st century AD). The tragedy that has hit Pannonia, turning peoples one against the other with the breaking of a united state into a total of five nations, has shown the world and many other people that the Status Quo that was set up in the aftermath of the Great War is all but extinct, with the European Forum turning into an inefficient and over-encumbered bureaucratic structure that has no means to and no results to sustain its existence. While not officially leaving the EF, this viewpoint can be seen by the general lack of the Nasrid Kingdom to utilize the halls of the EF in promoting its interests.
While for a certain moment it seemed that everything might settle into a new status quo dominated by a cold war between a camp of authoritarian and conservative polities, headed by the Tsardom of Tarusa and its close ally, the Federal State of Serbovia on one side and on the other a loosely knitted coallition of liberal democracies such as Remion, Eiffelland, Guienny, San Jose and Natal, on the other, the powder keg that is Pannonia has exploded yet again, this time with deadly consequences, as the Holy Frankish Empire has invaded the Confederation of Bourdignie, pushing the doomsday clock as close to midnight as possible, which was followed by the coup d'etat in Remion by the naval officers, showing that the tensions in Gallo-Germania remain high as ever, and the chance for the situation to escalate into a world war is critically high, what changed are the frontlines, not being situated anymore between Zara and Csengia, with Remion on one side and Tarusa on the other, but rather between Guienny, the HFE, Eiffelland and Bourdignie, in what would be a double situation of two front wars.
In this damnable situation, the government of Grand Vizier Zeyn Al-Harridi is reiterating the neutrality of the Nasrid Kingdom of Saba in this conflict, and promises that it will continue to trade will all the nations of Europe as it did before. At the same time, his excellency has also stated that should a war start, any attack on shipping flying the red-white-green banner of the Nasrid Kingdom will be considered a direct attack on the sovereignty of the realm, its people and his majesty, the Malik. The Grand Vizier has also congratulated the nations of Gallo-Germania for entering negotiations to avoid what it might be seen as one of the most destructive events in recent history and reminded them all that they must be open to compromises, should they ever want to reach a peace accord.
"Himyar has always been far away from the Gallo-Germanian storm, yet, because of today's global economy we live in an era where the trade routes of modern commerce are extremely entrenched allover Europe, pushing us all to the brink of disaster, should a war start in a region that is a developed hub for trade and manufacturing. The Nasrid Kingdom is as of yet a neutral nation regarding the situation in Gallo-Germania, but we are vulnerable to it and we ourselves will be standing to lose, should the bombs go off on the borders of Bourdignie, Csengia, Eiffelland, the HFE, Tarusa or Guienny. We will continue to trade will the other nations of Europe but we will also ask them to be mindful of the people they administer and not be blinded by imperialistic ambitions, as they play with human lives. War will bring only destruction, and it must be imperatively avoided," stated his excellency, Zeyn Al-Harridi, Grand Vizier of Saba.
OTHER NEWS
RISING OIL DEMANDS: The Royal Sabean Oil Corporation has announced that it will meet the increased demands of oil for the European nations and will continue developing the extracting industry of the Nasrid Kingdom. Besides the state own company, three more private ones, Seashell Oil, Rus' Petrol and Sabean-Sollegan Oil and Petrol Corporation have stated too that there is a trend of increasing oil demands but there will be no issues met as production will manage to adapt and increase.

The Grand Vizier's call for peace is most noble and it is easy to be in agreement with the assessment that a full-blown war in Gallogermania would be most destructive and undesirable for all parties concerned. We have no desire for war, merely the assurance of our own security against malevolent powers and guaranteeing the rights of our Serbovic brethren living outside our Fatherland's borders in these times of political upheaval. This aim has occasionally meant that we have been at odds with other states whose political aims and ambitions are opposed to ours. Our sincere hope is that a full-blown war would be avoided, but at the same time we will not compromise on our commitment to defend Serbovia and the Serboves from assault.

Grand Vizier visits Sur. Talks about future of mining: His excellency, Zeyn Al-Harridi, Grand Vizier and head of government has visited the city of Sur, which is popularly dubbed as the mining capital of Saba. After meeting with the representatives of Sharikat, the Royal Mining Corporation and for the first time ever with representatives of the trade unions, his excellency has held a speech in which he thanks the workers in Sur for their diligence in working in the mines, and has promised an increase to their wage by 100 Dinars starting the next fiscal year. The Mining industry is currently the biggest economical sector of the Nasrid Kingdom, with the country's huge gold, diamond and rare metal reserves fueling its economic growth in the past century. The Al-Harridi government has promised to reform the economy by diversifying it, making an effort to keep Saba away from the woes of a rentier economy.
Isphilitines in Saba protest Pelasgian annexation: Nationalist Isphilistine associations functioning in Saba have demonstrated in Ma'rib against the Pelasgian annexation of the region. Usually noted for the political sectarianism, nationalist Isphilistine organisations usually don't cooperate, as there are many differing elements regarding the way they see the organisation of a potential indepentent Isphilisteia. The annexation of the region by Pelasgia has been seen my the conservative Muslim associations at an affront to the emancipation of Isphilisteia as a neutral state and fear that it will provide with a future of Orthodox Christian proselytism. More than 15,000 people have marched on the streets of Ma'rib against the takeover. As of yet, the Grand Vizier has not commented on the subject.
End of the Mandates, a chance to bring independence to Muslim states: Lond oppressed and conquered by Gallo-Germanian imperialists, the EF decision to end the mandates brings the chance for an easy gain of independence and sovereignty to the Muslim states of Al-Margab, Quraysh and Harj. The three states have been ex-colonies of defeated nations of the Great War, in whose aftermath, they were transformed into Mandates of the EF, the first two being given to Eiffelland and Guienny. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, his excellency, Ridwan bin Adam al-Nasri has stated that the Nasrid Kingdom will offer aid for the three states to develop towards sovereignty and independence and has gone as far as to invite local authorities from the three states to Ma'rib to discuss the future of the Muslim world in this era of emancipation.

I am happy to accept the invitation to come to Ma'rib to discuss the future of our part of the world. I think it is indeed needed to conduct this discussion.

Pan-Urudoan Revolutionaries arrive in Sur: Welcomed by his excellency Nuri el-Diab, the chairman of the Hizb-ul-Kitab, the leading religious conservative party in Saba, many revolutionary and nationalist leaders have arrived in the city of Sur, coming from Al-Margab and Hajr as refugees. The members of the Hizb-ul-Kitab has celebrated the arrival of the refugees whom they called righteous warriors for freedom. "The time has come for us to say no to the forces of colonialism, namely the EF which has promised to end the mandates and offer independence, but instead brought full on colonialism, and the forces of Apostasy, namely the atheist anarchists which have taken over Hajr," stated Nuri el-Diab. The Hizb-ul-Kitab has announced that they will campaign in the Nasrid Kingdom of Saba to end the recognition of Hajr and Al-Margab and to bring back the Zayyanid Kingdom that once ruled over both nations.

Economic growth brought by diversification: The economic plan created by the Grand Vizier Zeyn Al-Harridi back in 2013 has managed to continue in bringing up the economic development of the Kingdom, as the Sabean economy has managed to break a new psychological redline in its diversification process. Far too long dependent on the mining industry, as Saba is a great exporter of coal, iron, copper and other minerals, the economic downturn of 2010 has made the government observe the limitation of putting too much faith in a single industry. The Diversification Plan, as it was named, had the role of subsidize the development of other industries so that there will be a decent economical base to continue the economic growth of the nation, should mining lapse into a more minor role. This week, with the initial reports of the trimester coming up, it has been stated that for 2021, mining has kept itself pretty much stagnant, or had very little growth, while the national economy rose up by about 6%.
