Saba reiterates the need for peace in Gallo-Germania and the World
- The Nasrid Kingdom is to continue trading will all nations of Europe
- Grand Vizier Zeyn Al-Harridi reiterates Saba's neutrality
- The nation hopes that the peace conferences will be productive
With tensions running extremely high in Gallo-Germania, the government of the Nasrid Kingdom of Saba reiterates the need for the countries of the world to keep the peace of Europe, so that its peoples can enjoy the high standards of life that it has grown accustomed to in the 15th century AH (or 21st century AD). The tragedy that has hit Pannonia, turning peoples one against the other with the breaking of a united state into a total of five nations, has shown the world and many other people that the Status Quo that was set up in the aftermath of the Great War is all but extinct, with the European Forum turning into an inefficient and over-encumbered bureaucratic structure that has no means to and no results to sustain its existence. While not officially leaving the EF, this viewpoint can be seen by the general lack of the Nasrid Kingdom to utilize the halls of the EF in promoting its interests.
While for a certain moment it seemed that everything might settle into a new status quo dominated by a cold war between a camp of authoritarian and conservative polities, headed by the Tsardom of Tarusa and its close ally, the Federal State of Serbovia on one side and on the other a loosely knitted coallition of liberal democracies such as Remion, Eiffelland, Guienny, San Jose and Natal, on the other, the powder keg that is Pannonia has exploded yet again, this time with deadly consequences, as the Holy Frankish Empire has invaded the Confederation of Bourdignie, pushing the doomsday clock as close to midnight as possible, which was followed by the coup d'etat in Remion by the naval officers, showing that the tensions in Gallo-Germania remain high as ever, and the chance for the situation to escalate into a world war is critically high, what changed are the frontlines, not being situated anymore between Zara and Csengia, with Remion on one side and Tarusa on the other, but rather between Guienny, the HFE, Eiffelland and Bourdignie, in what would be a double situation of two front wars.
In this damnable situation, the government of Grand Vizier Zeyn Al-Harridi is reiterating the neutrality of the Nasrid Kingdom of Saba in this conflict, and promises that it will continue to trade will all the nations of Europe as it did before. At the same time, his excellency has also stated that should a war start, any attack on shipping flying the red-white-green banner of the Nasrid Kingdom will be considered a direct attack on the sovereignty of the realm, its people and his majesty, the Malik. The Grand Vizier has also congratulated the nations of Gallo-Germania for entering negotiations to avoid what it might be seen as one of the most destructive events in recent history and reminded them all that they must be open to compromises, should they ever want to reach a peace accord.
"Himyar has always been far away from the Gallo-Germanian storm, yet, because of today's global economy we live in an era where the trade routes of modern commerce are extremely entrenched allover Europe, pushing us all to the brink of disaster, should a war start in a region that is a developed hub for trade and manufacturing. The Nasrid Kingdom is as of yet a neutral nation regarding the situation in Gallo-Germania, but we are vulnerable to it and we ourselves will be standing to lose, should the bombs go off on the borders of Bourdignie, Csengia, Eiffelland, the HFE, Tarusa or Guienny. We will continue to trade will the other nations of Europe but we will also ask them to be mindful of the people they administer and not be blinded by imperialistic ambitions, as they play with human lives. War will bring only destruction, and it must be imperatively avoided," stated his excellency, Zeyn Al-Harridi, Grand Vizier of Saba.
