Sahel, Ruskastan -- Colonel Samatarov publicly repudiated his opponents this morning by urging his parliament to stay course with his public works program intended to accelerate the nations development. "We cannot let this clowns fool us into thinking something is wrong" he told a group of supporters gathered for the celebration of the second anniversary of Samatarov's largest win in any election, giving him and his party 70% of the parliament.
"What they don't understand is that they lost" he added "their ideas to keep us on a path to be forever marginalized is over." Samatarov said as his audience gave him a standing ovation. Opponents of Samatarov have been very loud recently pointing to recent decline in factories and businesses as solid evidence that their warning has come to pass. A coalition of opponents headed by the Islamic way and the far right party Ruskastan First have been urging for self imposed stop to the "damaging policies of Samatarov" in order for country to have any chance of recovery.
Samatarov is looking to speed the progress of his program WhIle downplaying his intial two year deadline for his recovery program. "nobody said it was going to be easy" he added "but we believe in our people and in our sweat. We shall overcome any difficulties we face today. When we are done, we will have 12 national airports in 12 cities upgraded to international standards, 800 miles of repaved highways and 300 miles of new highways. We cannot slow down, we simply can't afford to listen to those who would have us live in a third world nation. We refuse to be second class citizens of this beautiful planet"
