 PRESIDENT TO RESHUFFLE THE CABINET

President Jeong Seong-min on Friday said to media reporters that he plans to reshuffle the cabinet within coming weeks in response to recent resignation of former Prime Minister Lee Hyun-jong and to push forward his policy agendas for later years of his presidency. The President however declined the rumor that President and former Prime Minister was in friction in every way of policy-making. The cabinet appointments will likely to be happened on next week, said the spokeperson for the Presidential Office.

Ruling Liberal Republican Party officially 'welcomed' a decision by the President as they commented this decision was 'brave and clever.' However, leadership of the party looks quite worrisome and serious about whether this decision looks like a lameduck or a sign of incompetence , especially given that current cabinet is only a year old and it has bad reputation to the people.

Opposition parties unanimously criticized the President's decision on cabinet reshuffle. Song Hyeong-guk, the Leader of Progressive Party said 'the president once again showed his incompetence by reshuffle the cabinet once again.' He added that the President already seems like in a lameduck though there's three more years in his term. Creation of Future Party also took a part in parade of criticisms by making the statement that president's decision was in rather populist style, not in serious way of policy making.
