The Empire of Valkany hereby announces the creation of the Scanian Treaty Organisation, an alliance open to all Scanian nations regardless of government, history or economic policies in order to help ensure the unity, peace and continued prosperity of our region as well as aid to nations in Scania that might be going through hard times.
This alliance aims to ensure that both fascism and communism stay out of Scania and the legal and legitimate democracies and constitutional monarchies that have been established on Scania stay in control of their own region, without outside influence.
I. Signatory nations will form a defensive alliance and in case one nation is attacked by external forces all signatory nations will aid said nation in defense and counterattack. Signatory nations are encouraged but not obliged to share military information, let each-other know of military actions beforehand and partake in each-other offshore campaigns should they be requested to do so. Signatory nations may not attack each-other.
II. This treaty will establish a joint military intelligence service of all signatory nations that will help the intelligence services of individual Scanian nations share information. Signatories are however not obliged to partake in this service.
III. Signatory nations will establish a common financial council to help improve trade relations between them. They are not however obliged to grant free trade treaties with each-other or use a common currency.
