VELIKA KANZIJA - The identities of the two Special Policemen killed while apprehending a cell of Ozgur terrorists have been released as Sergeant Slobodan Ivanovic, 27, and Junior Sergeant Petar Gadic, 25 by Minister of State Security Dimitar Zdraveski, who hailed them as martyrs of the Social-Nationalist cause and the ongoing Serbovian struggle against terrorism. Zdraveski also revealed that a single terrorist had been captured alive, and was being interrogated by the MDB.

Mr.Zdraveski said that evidence of activities of the Ozgurian People's Army in the Velika Kanzija Ozgur settlement had been discovered, and that the operation by the MDB was continuing until such a time that all subversives, terroristic elements and enemies of the state had been rooted out of the city. HIGH COMMAND PROPOSES RETAINING CONSCRIPTION LEVELS

PETROGRAD - The High Command is issuing a recommendation to the Ministry of Defense on maintaining the present level of intake of new conscripts in the relevant branches of the Federal Army against statements by some officers of the Federal Army calling for an increase in the ratio of professional and contract soldiers to conscript personnel. In addition, the High Command issued a proposal of extending obligatory safety training in secondary and tertiary education to include girls and young women.

Colonel-General of the Guard Karl Ribar, Chief of the High Command, left his report to Minister of Defense Army General Miroslav Slavik today in Petrograd. In his report, Colonel-General Ribar criticized a number of proposals by officers in the Central Military Academy and the High Command calling for reduced conscription intake, describing the present system as capable of fulfilling the practical needs of national defense as well as ensuring that the Federal Army acts according to the interests of the Serbovian people and its political commitment to the Social-Nationalist cause. Ribar underlined the fact that the present intake of roughly a half of those obliged to serve into the ranks of the Federal Army allows the High Command significant authority in disqualification of those physically or mentally unfit for military service.

Conversely the report submitted by the High Command recommends the expansion of obligatory safety education, a mechanism that has historically been useful in preparation of young Serbovian men for armed service and in strenghtening patriotism among Serbovian youth, to include girls and young women. This recommendation follows a similar submission at the Central Military Academy, but will have to be approved by Mr. Pedrag Mestic, Minister of Education and Propaganda. It is stated by the High Command that the expansion of such education into females would foster patriotism among the Serbovian women and encourage those women suited for military service to enlist as volunteers.

NUCLEAR POWER AN ENERGY-POLITICAL CENTERPOINT FOR THE FUTURE OF SERBOVIA

At the plant Rodzianko addressed assembled employees of the Power Plant, which is maintained by the State Atomic Energy Corporation along with all other Serbovian civilian nuclear facilities, speaking to them about the importance of atom energy and the Sokol plant to the prosperity and development of all Serbovia and thanking the employees of the plant for their contributions in this field. He also gave plant workers overall advisory in increasing their work effectiviness, which was received with jubilation by the plant staff. In the same address, His Excellency the Supreme Leader pointed out the overall importance of nuclear energy to the Serbovian society and expressed the overall will of the government in preserving this position. VETERANS COMMEMORATE THE ENDING OF THE OZGUR UPRISING

VELIKI VARADIN - - On 19th of November the Organization of Serbovian Military Veterans has traditionally commemorated the anniversary of the ending of the 1952-1955 Ozgurian Uprising, brought about by traitorous Ozgur collaborators with the Bolshevist enemy during the Great War. On this day, Serbovian military veterans and servicemen of the present Federal Army gathered to Veliki Varadin to celebrate the 54th anniversary of this event.

Though the numbers of Serbovian veterans of the Great War and the Ozgur uprising have been thinning over the years, there are still 400 000 Serbovian veterans of those wars alive, most of whom are represented by the Organization of Serbovian Military Veterans which has since grown to encompass volunteers of the Miedzymorzean Civil War and all those who have served in the Serbovian military after the Great War. As such, 20000 veterans of the Ozgurian Uprising and thousands more of their familymembers and present Serbovian servicemen were able to gather to Veliki Varadin to honor the defeat of the collaborationist elements of the Ozgurs 54 years before.

Minister of Defense, Army General Miroslav Slavik attended the commemoration as an official representative of the Supreme Leader and the Social-Nationalist People's Party. Army General Slavik, himself a veteran of the Miedzymorzean Civil War, spoke on the importance of the sacrifice of the Great War veterans in ensuring the freedom of the Serbovian people and on the contribution of the Free Brigades during the Ozgurian Uprising. The celebrations took place under strong MDB guard after threats made by the Islamic Resistance and the Ozgurian Holy Army for attacks. However, no terrorist incidents occured.

THE SUPREME LEADER VISITS SOLDIERS OF THE FEDERAL GUARD

IVANOGRAD - Paying his respects to the men and women of the most exclusive branch of service in the Federal Army, His Excellency the Supreme Leader Vladimir Rodzianko accompanied by Lieutenant General of the Guard Dejan Mitevic visited the Federal Guard's central headquarters in the city of Ivanograd. The Federal Guard garrison there 50 kilometers north of Petrograd houses the 15th Guard's Corps, its largest individual component.

While visiting the Ivanograd Federal Guard Center, the Supreme Leader inspected exercises carried out by members of the Guard, including its elite Special Reconnaissance Battalion, and met with servicemen-and women of the Federal Guard. Of particular concern to Rodzianko were the housing conditions enjoyed by enlisted servicemen of the Federal Guard after an extensive renovation of their accommodation barracks, the results of which were universally considered to be satisfactory by the servicemen of the Federal Guard stationed in Ivanograd.

The 40000 servicemen-and women of the Serbovian Federal Guard represent the elite of the Federal Army, combining both volunteer conscripts and professional servicemen under the hierarchy of an organization that bears the responsibilities of spearheading the defense of Serbovia against foreign aggressors as well as internal enemies.

MINISTER NEMANJIC DENOUNCES VANGALAN AND IRB ANTI-LFS AGITATION

PETROGRAD - Minister of External Affairs Mr. Daniel Nemanjic has sharply criticized the Vangalan government for its agitation against the League of Free States after several military movements and verbal attacks against Ratomkira made by Vangalan diplomatic representatives. Mr. Nemanjic expressed the firm stance of the Serbovian government as one of moral and diplomatic support for Serbovian allies in Dai Viet and Jiuzhou, but also in favor of stability in the region.

Previously, Mr. Nemanjic and other representatives of the Serbovian government have expressed calls for calm and maintenance of diplomatic dialogue within the region, but the increasing level of diplomatic strain between the Ratomkiran and Vangalan governments has prompted a more decisive approach on behalf of His Excellency the Supreme Leader Vladimir Rodzianko and the Serbovian government as a whole. In a statement released through the Federalne Vesti for international consumption, Mr. Nemanjic points out the controversial role of the Vangalan government in backing Bolshevik terrorists and other subversive elements in Ratomkira and calls for Vangala to denounce the presently active Bolshevist elements in Ratomkira.

Though the predicament of the Southeast is one that is geographically away from Serbovia, the Social-Nationalist government must still take an aware stance in regards to its development due to our commitments towards our allies in the League of Free States and the possibility of a confrontation to resonate from the East. As such, the Ministry of Defense is also monitoring the development of the situation, and Minister of Defense, Army General Miroslav Slavik has confirmed that the status of alert of military intelligence services has been subsequently increased.

The League of Free States' repeated accusations of Vangala supporting insurgent groups in Ratomkira and elsewhere is pure propaganda and should be dismissed by the international community as an insidious attempt to besmirch Vangala's image and disturb regional peace.

What should not, however, be dismissed by the international community is Vangala's vocal and self-expressed support towards subversive movements in Ratomkira and elsewhere.

SUPREME LEADER RECEIVES A REPORT ON PREVENTION AND PUNISHMENT OF CORRUPTION

PETROGRAD - State Secretary of Justice Ms. Maria Raznatovic today presented to His Excellency the Supreme Leader Vladimir Rodzianko the results of an anti-corruption committee of the Ministries of State Security and Justice headed by Ms. Raznatovic. The committee was appointed in the March of this year to draft a comprehensive report on the development of new measures to combat the existence of corruption in Serbovian society and to monitor the status of corruption and similar activities in Serbovia.

The committee made positive conclusions on the assertion that the role of racketeering and gangsterism in the existence of corruption had dwindled during the recent years, and subsequently recommended the concentration of anti-corruption efforts on resistance to nepotism and bribery within public and private sectors of the Serbovian society. In particular, the committee called for attention to ensuring that the ongoing process of flexibilization of the Serbovian national economy would not create corruption in uncorrupted areas, and in allowing the Ministry of State Security sufficient resources to combat corrupt activities within the Serbovian society.

In furtherance of these aims, Mrs. Raznatovic also recommended the definition of bribery as a racketeering offense even when the purpose is not the furtherance of criminal aims, allowing the conviction of bribery perpetrated by organized groups as racketeering. Supreme Leader Rodzianko upon receiving the report applauded the work done by the committee and described enacting its proposals a priority for the National Congress and the Executive Council of the Supreme Leader.

CITIZENS ADVISED ON INFLUENZA AWARENESS BY THE MINISTRY OF SOCIAL WELFARE

PETROGRAD/LOVRA - After the detection of new cases of the H3N2 influenza and the quarantineing of several people in Northern Serbovia as well as in Central parts of the country, including Greater Petrograd, the Ministry of Social Welfare has issued health-related advisory for medical centers, schools, daycare facilities as well as common citizens. The purpose of these advisories released today is to call public attention to the maintenance of basic hygiene and other preparatory means to combat influenza.

This move follows the detection of further cases of H3N2 in Northern Serbovia and the Lovra area, as well as the detection of the first H3N2 case in Greater Petrograd. However, the health authorities have emphasized the fact that so far there has been only a single death due to the H3N2 virus caused by the weakness in the deceased person's immunity system brought about by a prolonged, chronic illness. Indeed, the H3N2 influenza virus is widely considered to pose the risk of fatality only for those with prolonged chronic illnesses or of elderly or very young age, something which the Ministry of Social Welfare has emphasized to further the avoidance and prevention of public panic.

The advisory released to the Serbovian public through television and radio advises citizens to maintain basic personal hygiene and to wash their hands on a regular basis, which is considered to be the most effective contributory means available to a citizen in order to avert contacting the disease. At the present, the Executive Council is forming up a comprehensive plan of eliminating the possibility of a significant national epidemic which includes the possibility of beginning vaccinations of Serbovian citizens.

NEWS IN BRIEF

PETROGRAD - His Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew of Talemaniki is on a multi-day visit to Serbovia, his first destination as one of the most important members of the European Orthodox community. His Holiness Dimitar III the Patriarch of Serbovia received his Talemantric counterpart at the Petrograd Cathedral of Christ the Redeemer, and His Excellency the Supreme Leader Vladimir Rodzianko is also to receive the Talemantric Patriarch in Petrograd.

The visit highlights the historical and current importance of the Serbovian nation as a bastion of Christianity in the East, and the commitment of the Social-Nationalist movement for the preservation of the Christian values that have historically defined Serbovian culture and identity. The Social-Nationalist movement and the Supreme Leader stand firmly behind the Orthodox Church.

PETROGRAD - The High Command and the Ministries of Defense and State Security have issued joint orders calling for an increase of readiness on behalf of the Federal Army and the MDB forces in response to rising regional tensions between Volga and Zivotinje. According to Colonel-General of the Guard Karl Ribar, chief of the High Command, this will imply full readiness among regular units of the Federal Army and a call-up of Navy and Air Force reservists into service. Colonel-General Ribar underlines the nature of this deployment as reactive in nature.

The move follows a series of provocations on behalf of the International Revolutionary Bloc and increased tensions between the Volgan and Zivotinje governments. Though His Excellency the Supreme Leader and Minister of External Affairs Mr. Daniel Nemanjic have both time upon time expressed Serbovian neutrality in the affair, in a recent speech to the National Congress Vladimir Rodzianko remarked upon the status of the Volgan government as a singular cause of instability in our region.
