Shalica to Ditch Monarchy?


Today President Huntsman met with the Senate to discuss possibly eradicating the Prince of his titles and powers. The plan would involve seizure of the Prince's palace and much of his wealth. In a rare occurrence it seems the Trade Party will be siding with the Progressive's, making this a very big mess for Prince Dawes. I'm going to quote President Huntsman here regarding the matter ahem ,"This may be a 500 or so year old tradition, but that's all it is. No man should be entitled to a whole country simply by birth."

So what do you guys think is it right to send Prince Dawes packing? Or is this the best way to move Shalica forward towards new dreams and hopes?

Prince To Stay, And He's Got A Lot to Say

So as we all know the law was veto'd and now Prince Hubert isn't going anywhere. This action seems to have angered the Executive Branch. A new Executive Order has declared that Asheville is to be walled up and it's residents placed on 'temporary quarantine'. The Executive Branch has declared that the city is full of corruption and violence and must be rehabilitated through education on such matters. As well as the replacement and imprisonment of all its government officials. See that's where it gets a little tricky folks. Most of the legislators that voted for the removal of the Crown live in Asheville.

However on the other hand Asheville did explode with violence the day of the wall being put up. So whether the rehabilitation was necessary before hand seems like a moot point.

Diplomatic Communique​

The Republic of Asylan strongly condemns this ridiculous act of quarantining an entire population by building a wall around the city. They have committed no crime other than being in the same place that Prince Hubert has his residence. Instead of sending in law enforcement to retrieve a single individual, President Huntsman has decided to submit the city of Ashevill to his vague and terrifying thought of rehabilitation. Military Steps in to Reform

Colonel Steven Nephi of the 1st Elite Infantry Battallion sieged the Goverment last week. It arrested every member of the Goverment and is holding them for trial for numerous charges including laundering. The people seem to be pleased overall however. Today the first view of what's to come came. Colonel Nephi announced the annihilation of the Progressive Party. And intends to do massive restructuring of the Shalican government. Including making it more democratic. The creation of a new position, known as the Chancellor of the People, will handle all affairs of the people personally. After he or she is elected maybe we should just shorten it to Chancellor.

In other news Prince Hubert has disappeared. Apparently not wishing to be arrested, the Prince high tailed it before the E.I's stormed the Palace. While I'm talking about the Palace you should all hear what's going to happen to it. Nephi intends to turn into Shalica's newest Public University. How that will fit in the budget remains to be clear.
