The state of Carentania has been a symbol of fight against the Talemantine Empire's irredentist ideas. The Empire's moves have affected the eastern Himyari states since the turn of the 20th century and plagues the continent until today. We can remember the wars between your nation against the hordes of Talemantros at the beginning of the century. Altai was also affected by the actions of Talemantine Empire between 1950 and 1958, as they invaded the People's Republic. In this new century, the Talemantine politicians still believe that eastern Himyar is their playground and still believe that the free states will remain idle while they do their shenanigans. Jurzan was one of their victims a few years ago, and Altai is in the same state as Jurzan was then.

As we understand as a close relation between monarchy and a socialist republic normally would be strained because of the opposite poles of their ideologies, the people of Altai has chosen to be ruled by the Demians again as a monarchy. Even if we don't have the name of People's Republic or be ruled by the defunct Workers Party, the people of Altai have always seen Carentania as a friend. We would like to create a strong bond, between our nations. A sanitary cordon made of Carentania, Jurzan and Altai to create a united front against Talemantros and hope to get revenge from the actions of their politicians and liberate the Talemantine people from a corrupted system that lasted from the decline of the Tiburan Empire.

In conclusion, we would like to see our people and politicians to see over the ideological and social differences and realize that only united we can defeat the menace of eastern Himyar: The Talemantine Empire.

Dear colleague,

the Workers' Republic, as oldest existing socialist state in Europe, has a historical responsibility to carry the fight against injustice, inhumanity and imperialism to the farthest edges of the world. Our very own history with the Talemantine Empire has been long and occasionally bloody as well, as such, we feel sympathy to anyone suffering from the attacks of this rabid dog of Himyar. However, we can not do else but paint a more controversial picture of your own country, Altai, and its role in the current war that is raging in eastern Himyar. After all, it was Altai who expanded the conflict to the shores of Himyar when it, feeling strengthened by the dishonest offer of support the Federation hat given it, joined the ranks of Franken and its vassals. Altais attack on Zadar-Istria was unnecessary and unwise and no one would have doubted that this opportunity for warfare would not be seized by the Talemantine Empire.

As such, comparisons between Altai and the Jurzan are outright insulting to the people of the Jurzan. The Jurzani suffered under decades of oppression before eventually choosing liberty and democracy and rising up against their oppressors. Altai shunned all hopes for democracy and instead opted for monarchy. It changes little how many or not supported this move, it still marks the rise of a reactionary regime and the betrayal of fundamental rights towards democratic sovereignity of the people. Altais population signed away not just their own rights to a Monarch, they signed away the rights of those disagreeing with the Monarchy just as well as the rights of future generations. Any attempts to give autocracy a mantle of liberty will be opposed by Carentania. We furthermore wish to point out that, while Altai started warfare within Himyar, granting the Talemantines a good excuse for invading the country, the Jurzani nation did nothing like this and became target of a completely unprovoked attack from the Talemantines.

Carentania has a fundamental interest in maintaining peace in Himyar and bringing the current war to an end. But given the aforementioned facts, we feel that we can not side with Altai in an attack on the Talemantines, a move that would serve to only escalate the conflict and throw the entire region into turmoil. We wish to approach the issue with a more even-handed solution and hopefully draw the support of progressive nations from throughout Europe to ensure a lasting solution. If Altai is interested in Carentanias support for a solution that brings peace to Himyar and contains the aggressions of the Talemantine Empire without the need for prolonged warfare and a bloodshed on a scope that dwarfes the current war in Solaren, Carentania would offer the following first steps towards peace:

1. The deployment of an observor mission from Carentania, tasked with recording war crimes and relaying this information to the world public, exposing the horrors from which the people of Altai suffer in this war.

2. The establishment of a safe zone near the frontline, possibly within a coastal town, to shelter refugees, international media and foreign citizens from attacks. No Altaic military operations would be allowed within this zone, nor the presence of weapons or soldiers from either combatant. Neither side in the war would be allowed to attack targets within this purely civilian zone and Carentanian forces, possibly supplemented by an international mission at a later date, would guarantuee the safety of the zone.

Dear Colleague,

After careful considerations within the Military Staff and the Government, we accept your proposal. Surdoiu will be declared a demilitarized city and the Defense Force will leave as soon as your mission arrives on the coast. It is imperative that all the peoples of the world should know about the atrocities made by the Talemantine invaders and the damage made by the Mark 77 bomb on our civilian populaces and to the environment. The use of those bomb, do not have only short term effects on the population but also long term because the coastal and western region is the primary agrarian zone for the Uroduah Autonomous Oblast and the Altaisk Oblast. The extensive bombing of those regions will soon lead to the destruction of the crops and the soil in particular and will lead to famine.
