Economy, Trade, and Industry Directorate

Reorganised from the Ministry of Trade and Commerce in 1924, the Economy, Trade, and Industry Directorate supervises the corporations of the Mezhist Union, providing them with administrative guidance and other direction, both formal and informal, in the fields of modernization, technology, investments in new plants and equipment, domestic and foreign competition, and others. This is not just a simple partnership between government and business. This is a beautiful partnership; a partnership between the Union of Swieczieman Mezhist Republics and the Private enterprises under our care. With the ETID, you can be sure that your business will prosper.

Swieczieman Arms Industry

ETID understands that no single corporation can supply all the needs of each of the Swieczieman Armed Services. As such, under the guidance of the ETID, the myriad of manufacturers responsible for the equipment used by the SAS have gathered together into several "Corporate Coalitions", each one focusing on a specific field. The Coalitions are named for the corporation that has taken the initiative to unite its peers in its field, and all work together to produce only the best weapons in the Mezhist Union.

Kolbe Motor Coalition

With its beginnings in the mid eighteenth century as an ironworks, Kolbe has since evolved with the times and found its place in the sun as a powerful industrial manufacturer. Its main product, motor vehicles, is supported by infrastructure built using the products of its own steelworks, and the sturdiness of Kolbe products is known throughout Sarmatia, such that to compare something to "Kolbe Steel" has become a common metaphor for strength and durability. Unsurprisingly, Kolbe now leads a coalition of Motor manufacturers and Steelworks that not only provides for the ground vehicles of the Steel Army and the Sarmatian motor industry, but the best steel in Sarmatia.

A small, lightweight, and versatile tankette, the Cz M, or "Wolaski", as it has become affectionately known to those who crew and maintain it, is ideal for reconnaissance purposes, and indeed serves this function within the Mezhist Army. An outdated design that is no longer manufactured by Kolbe, the Cz III has nevertheless spent most of its service life guarding the borders of the Union against the threat of enemy invasion, and has been improved through the years. These relics of the cold war have since been put into storage and never served long enough to face Miroslavan hostilities. They are, however, now being shipped to the Yujiner Empire to fight against the threat of communist revolution, and its blueprints have been provided to the Imperial Government.

Originally developed as an infantry support tank, the Cz IV's larger tonnage ironically allowed it to surpass the Cz III in upgunning, causing the reversal of roles that brought the former to the front as the Mezhist Army's mainline medium tank in the early 1940's. It was eventually supplanted by the Cz V "Pantera", and has since been relegated to the duties of a light tank.

Developed as a countermeasure to the Communist {T-34}, the Pantera has since become the Mezhist Army's mainline battle tank for most of the 1940's, eventually being supplanted by its later development, the Pantera II. The next step in the Pantera line, and the Mezhist Army's mainline battle tank. Better engine, better armour, better gun, and better overall design. In a word, it's all the good things about the Pantera, only BETTER! These vehicles prowl the Sarmatian steppes, continuing to safeguard the Mezhist Union from enemy attack. The unique Wąski Wieżyczka ("narrow turret") comes with a built-in stabilized stereoscopic rangefinder.

Taking its name from the ferocious Sarmatian Grizli Bear, the Grizli lives up to its namesake as a formidable heavy tank. A relic of the previous era, it lacks the sloped armour characterising modern-day tanks, and is mainly used by reserve forces, or kept for export. Nevertheless, its firepower and armour are still relatively superb, and it would be a bad idea to face one head to head.

Weight 52.9 tonnes
Length 6.316 m (20 ft 8.7 in), 8.45 m (27 ft 9 in) (gun forward)
Width 3.70 m (12 ft 2 in)

Secondary armament 2× 7.92 mm KM 34 (4,800 rounds)
Engine Mankus HL230 P45 (V-12 petrol) 700 PS (690.4 hp, 514.8 kW)
Power/weight 12.3 PS/tonne
Suspension torsion bar
Operational range 110–195 km (68–121 mi)
Speed 38 km/h (24 mph)
The next phase in the evolution of the Grizli line, the Grizli II's development incorporated several aspects of the Pantera line, including sloped armour. The Grizli II is the main heavy tank of the Mezhist Army, and is a force to behold, creating the image of an angry bear prepared to strike. It is a beast on the steppes of Sarmatia.

Malek Aeronautics Coalition

Always an innovator, Malek Aeronautics has been at the forefront of powered flight, competing with other firms and corporations since the first planes in the early 1910's. A testament to its team's skill its how it won the race to develop the first functional jet engine, and hasn't looked back. Malek planes form the backbone of the Mezhist Air Force, and Malek design principles such as the flying wing have been adapted for use and further application by other air powers, like the High Kingdom of Ivernia. With these credentials, there is no doubt that the only corporation suited to lead the Mezhist Union's Coalition of air powers is non other than Malek Aeronautics.

Classied, top secret correspondence

As per our agreement, the Jurzani Government will begin wiring funds to the Mezhist Union in exchange for the arms that our government has requested. Due to the sensitivity of the situation, the Jurzani Government is requesting that Mezhist ships will be directed to dock in a different section of Abasha where military officials will be present to handle the cargo. The Government can not stress enough on how these dealings need to be kept secret.

"This kind of powerful animation studio makes it difficult for more independent animators to get their artwork out in the wider market."

"I assure Mr. Santino that [the implication of monopoly] is not the case. Duzynski Studios knows how it is to start from the ground floor, and we fully support independent animators. We salute their valiant efforts. Why, just look at Studio Sirokos. Five years old, and already holding two critical successes under its belt, with a possible third one coming up soon. And I'm sure it won't be the last independent studio to make its mark on Sarmatia and the world."
