Castle Hohenwart combines the grandeur of the Burgundians with the lavish lifestyle of the Hauer Monarchy. The castle was constructed by the Burgundians for use by their aristocracy. It was a special kind of insult that the Carinthian Aristocracy forced the defeated Burgundians to sign the treaty in the newly acquired Castle, a true testament to the kind of persona the Hauers prided themselves on.

Generally, the Castle stood as a popular tourist attraction to the tourist city of Ebensee. Despite the valued attempts of Linz, it never could surpass Ebensee. Ebensee was about 1/7[SUP]th[/SUP] the size of Linz, so it skillfully avoided the look of a large metropolitan area, even if in comparison to the rest of the nation, it was.

The Castle was built on an island only a couple hundred feet from the coast of Ebensee and accessible only one, two lane road. Built upward, the Castle acted as one of the top ten tallest buildings in all of Ebensee. It’s orange lighting and structure made an excellent contrast to the dark blue cast by the sea and blue sky.

In side the castle, as the staff prepared for a crucial diplomatic meeting that wasn’t very well publicized, given its context, Foreign Affairs Minister Wolfgang Falkenrath prepared to lead negotiations. He was a tall man, standing at 6’2”, but his body was disproportional and gave him a rather awkward, slender look. He sported a well groomed beard and his hair was combed to one side. His suits were very well tailored and cost more than his average countryman’s yearly earnings. He was the kind of man who had never spent his life far from a concentration of wealth and luxury, but had collected a rather large resume of diplomatic affairs, earning him the position in Chancellor Jordan’s cabinet.

“Mr. Minister,” his aide called “The Field Marshall has arrived.”

“Good,” Falkenrath replied, fixing his cufflinks “Send him to the East Conference Room. I shall meet him there.”

The Minister and his aides were guided into the East Room, and two soldiers opened the massive Burgundian Doors that stood at the entrance of the room. Upon entering the room, immediate notice came to the rather small size of it. The Foreign Affairs Minister was standing in front of a closed fire place, seated next to him were interpreters and other staff of the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

“Field Marshall Inderjit Satsangi, the Varanasi Minister of War, allow me to welcome you to the Empire of Carinthia-Hark any,” the Minister stated. His left hand covered his heart, and his right was extended outward to his side “I trust your journey was comfortable and that the accommodations you see before you are up to your standards. If not, please do inform any member of the staff immediately.”

The Minister motioned for everyone to take their seats. As soon as the Minister sat, he pulled from his coat pocket a pair of glasses and put them on his face as he laid a folder out in front of him. He smiled at the Varanasi Minister.

“Oh, I had almost forgotten. I am sure the colder winter months of Flussland haven’t been all that enjoyable for you. I hope we can help,” the Minister stated.

As soon as he finished, aides brought in plates of some of the finest liquors of the Empire. They moved around to serve the Varanasi Delegation.

“These are of the highest quality, fitting of guests of the Hauer Monarchy. Please, take as much as you’d like. If you’d fancy, we’d gladly send bottles home with you,” the Minister laughed “I have always believed that no political discussion should be had without a drink nearby.”

The Minister raised his glass to the Minister of War.

“A toast to good fortune, Field Marshall.”
