POZINY, CAPITOL BUILDING OF THE COUNCIL
THE TSAR'S COUNCIL
Councilman Yhzeniy was a relatively new face to the Council of Galich, having graduated from the University of Poziny with a fairly good degree and GPA in political studies and choosing to align himself with the One Galich party. Today, the Council would vote on the prominent issue of issuing peace terms to the Volhynian Separatist Party in an effort to finally end the conflict boiling in the region since Galich dominance. Yhzeniy knew his choice was to accept the legislature's vote and side with the One Galich party in their effort to stop the conflict and give the Volhynians greater autonomy, supported by the Volhynian Freedom Party and the Ingrians. On the opposite side, the dreaded Red Front supported by several centrist politicians, the newly found Post-Delegates, and the staunchly xenophobic Blackshirts supported continuing the conflict in favor of assimilating the Volhynian population.
Several politicians took their seats, shuffling through pages of manuscripts and the last meetings. Yhzeniy casually approached his close friend, Igor, tapping him on the shoulder with a broad smile. Igor cast an inquisitive glare into the aisles of the Council's chambers.
"Igor, have you prepared your speech to the Tsar yet?"
Igor turned to his friend, offering a quick nod and a gulp, motioning out to the empty seats. "Where are the Reds, brother?"
Yhzeniy cast a gaze over out into the assembly of only supporters for the issue, quickly noticing that the guards were also missing from the sides of the chambers. He frantically looked around the room, looking for some opposition members. From the door he came out of, he heard a lock's click. He swiveled around, desperately trying to get back into the hallways of the capitol building, but to no avail.
Soon, a whistle filled the air. Screams filled both the streets and the chambers of the Council.
A thermobaric bomb destroyed a city block of Poziny, incinerating everything in its radius.
