Victory Day Celebrations, December 9th.


Celebrations for the twenty second anniversary of victory against the socialists are taking place at 9 A.M. in the Matchenkograd National Square. All citizens of Matchenkograd are encouraged to spend their holiday with the day long celebration. The celebrations will take place as follows:

At 9 A.M. President Fyodorov will address the nation, followed by the great Sergeant Mattias Illyuminov, veteran of the Great War of Independence, and two time recipient of the Steel Medallion of Indomitable Courage.
9:30, the Army and Naval Infantry parade and Air Force fly over will commence.
11, The Dyabol Cossack Choir and the Beautiful Peasantwomen of Bogastvopol will perform for the nation.
12, The Faces of Zelenyrus will perform the epic, Conquering of the 11, the tale of Mirkov the Uniter's life.
At 1:30, the official day celebrations will cease for the great feast.
At 7:30, the United Zelenyrus Front has paid for a special treat to its citizens, a firework show. During your families' great feast you may look out your window to see the great display that will be launched in the square.

For all Zelenyrossiyans with a fervent love for their country that do not live in Matchenkograd, Radio United Zelenyrus will be broadcasting the events live.

Islamists Angered by anti-Muslim laws.

Tensions rise as the members of the Novozeleni-e-Islami threaten that if they are not given the right to practice their religious laws autonomously that they will seek for more radical means of convincing the state allow them to self govern. This is in response to President Fyodorov cracking down on non-Christian religions in Zelenyrus, with the Price for Religious Freedoms act, which imposes a tax upon any religious organization that is not the official state religion. Prime Minister Vadimovich remarked to the Council of the Provinces that these taxes could easily be payed and those who were complaining were "greedy, emotional little leeches."

The vote for making the Blad mountain range its own province, an area that would be a majority Muslim Zelenyrossiyan province if created, has been turned down by the Governors of the Council of the Provinces for the third time. This only proves the futility of Novozeleni-e-Islami's efforts, but they swear they will not stop until a Muslim owned and governed province is created. ​

President Seeks Arms deal and Training exercises with other nations


President Fyodorov has reportedly been trying to reach out to several nations with modernized militaries, seeking the opportunity for training exercises and arms deals. He stated that the military is,"... very organized, motivated, and has high morale." he seeks to "Modernize the Novozelenyrossiyan military through adapting to new training tactics and acquiring modern equipment." The President specifically cited the Airforce and the Navy, still using outdated Communist aircraft and ships from the Great War of Independence and years before that. "Updated equipment and weapons for our Army is a secondary priority to the modernization of our Airforce and Navy. We still have propeller driven aircraft and coal powered warships, in 1956! This is unacceptable. In a world full of men that look upon sovereign nations like Novozelenyrus and see a steak dinner, we must put our national defense at the forefront!"

​Prominent UZF Member Mark Klaninov Calls for more Anti-Islamist Action.

Senior United Zelenyrus Front party member Mark Klaninov, veteran of the Great War of Independence, called for more action against the Islamic minority living in the northwestern mountains last evening during a Council of the Provinces meeting. He stated that, the "Mosquitoes" have no place in Novozelenyrus, and have always resisted the will of the good Christian people of Novozelenyrus since they have been a part of the country. He cited Tsiatislov II's rule when a Jihad was declared after his conversion to Christianity and his rightful retake of the Blad mountain range, and when a large portion of communist traitors and volunteers in the War of Independence were Muslims.

"If it were up to me, I would give them that land they squat on and let them govern themselves and let that be the end of it! But it is not their land by right, it is ours! It has been ours since before the wicked idea of Islam was planted in Musaylimah's head by the Devil! How these men treat their women and how they are hundreds of years behind technologically even while, as a struggling nation, we have came so far in just twenty years. You look at all the progress our party has made in these past two decades, and none of it has affected the Blad mountains. Because, these people -choose- not to accept our progress! They're up there praying on their mats for another Socialist revolution. So, they must learn that either they submit, and disband Novozeleni-e-Islami, or we will make them submit. We rooted out the communists in the span of a two year war, but I reckon we can root out the weeds in the mountains in just a month."

Mr. Klaninov is not alone in his opinions. Not only do a majority of the UZF party agree with him, but the people crave the Party Speaker's words. Some are even suggesting that President Fyodorov, Prime Minister Vadimovich, and the Council of the Provinces are being too moderate and lenient. While President Fyodorov was voted into office quite easily on the people's belief that he was the truest Zelenyrossiyan out of the two candidates, some are starting to doubt now, at the end of his Presidency, if he has the guts to do what needs to be done.

President Fyodorov responded by saying,"My brother Mark loves his country with a fierceness that would frighten a wolf pack. This I do not doubt. What I want for my people is safety, and as long as the Muslims understand that their culture and customs do not mix with ours, they may stay in those mountains under our protection. The Islamists however, I agree, must be disbanded. Their rhetoric continues to grow increasingly acidic and violent, and if they want to live under Sharia law so badly I will ship them to Jurzan if need be. What I don't want is mobilizing military forces in my own home to 'retake' something that already belongs to the people. As far as I'm concerned the Muslims, though they may say that the Blads are their rightful land until the cows come home, are on rented grounds. And if they do not wish to assimilate with the true Zelenyrossiyan identity, they will live for a thousand generations in the Blads and will never grow beyond them."

With holiday and national festivities underway, the UZF's internal disagreement over the solution to the Muslim problem is being put off. And with the President's disagreement of the use of force to bend the will of the Islamists, the argument has largely fizzled out in the party. ​

Patriarch of Serbian Orthodox church urges on the government Novozelenyrus to stop the prosecution of muslim population.

Patriarch: I am just looking at the situation in Novozelenyrus, its like jewish crisis. Except! We were demonized by other countries. For some reason those same nations dont really seem to care about muslims. This what the government of Novozelenyrus is doing is big sin! A huge one! Its all sad in bible! Love your enemies! Pray for them! Or, You shall love your neighbor as yourself! Judge not, that you be not judged! Orthodox church condemns your actions as unholy, cause they are going against the law of the bible. As we all know, there can be no good when someone is going against law of the God!

Dictator also reacted on the situation in Novozelenyrus.

Dictator: I learned what patriarch sad in hard way. I want the government of Novozelenyrus to not make the same mistake. Cause everything you do will come back to you. Dont judge, so that you not be judged.

You see, Mr. Klaninov, it is not the difference between Christianity nor Islam that causes such differences, but the reign of hatred and classism that is fueled by capitalism. In the Jurzan, we have moved away from such vices. We have built universities across the country that on a daily basis conduct some of the highest order of research and academia, propelling the human mind and challenging traditional thought to expand the experience of mankind. Education is treated as a primary objective and men and women share equally in this endeavor. In the Jurzan, we believe that all succeed when given the opportunity and our country's unparalleled success since the dawn of the Islamic Republic has only proven that. So let me be clear, creating division amongst your people is the political tactic of a political entity that has no ideas to move a country forward. After extensive deliberation, this Council has decided that the improvement of Zelenyrossiyan armaments and weapons technology is in alignment with its greater objective to curb and suppress the spread of the communist revolutionary plague around the globe.
