Protests Begin Tomorrow

Reno is going to see a wave of protests starting tomorrow. In an effort to reform the Wasatch government, about 9,000 men women and adolescents have said they will be protesting. The protest was organized on the popular social news and media site,

. The governor of Uintah, has stated that he has ordered a National Guard presence in the city. However, they will only be there too make sure the protests don't turn violent.

Violence Erupts in Salt Lake City

In the next wave of protests, Salt Lake City was witnessing mass protests earlier today. It was planned as yet another peaceful march. Since the success of the movement in Uintah, protestors were planning for yet another peaceful success. The National Guard had other plans. Once the protestors hit the Liberty Hills condominiums, on State Rd., the National Guard opened fire. As it turned out, some protestors had armed themselves for self defense. So after 11 died in the first minute, the protestors began to fight back. The freedom fighters eventually drove the National Guard off of the decimated State Rd. They now occupy the Liberty Hill condos, since most of the past occupants were evacuated by the protestors.

There is two things that this event means. One is that there are members in the protest movements that are trained in urban combat. And are heavily armed with military grade weapons. The other is that the government is willing to kill innocents to kill the armed, as well as be the first ones to shoot. Overall today 43 men and women died. 21 National Guard, and 22 protestors/fighters.

Further Violence is a given, as freedom fighters are setting up shop in the Liberty Hills condos and the National Guard prepares a UAV based plan. Hopefully the National Guard changes its strategy, since the drone attacks will endanger some innocent residents, who may or may not be hostages.

Dictator Markus Boyack Removed From Office

In a move that utterly changes the whole political scene of Wasatch, the office of Dictator has been abolished by the National Senate. Markus Boyack was also further insulted by being escorted out of Salt Lake City by National Guard troops. Uintah's Senate has entered a emergency secret congress because of it. Also massive riots are sparking in Grand Junction, Miami, Gainesville, Hudson, and many other towns throughout the nation. The fact that the National Senate had the nerve to dispose of our nations executive and legislative despot during a moment of turmoil is shocking. Now Wasatch must fight its internal threats unorganized or join the freedom fighters.

We urge that negotiations come between the sides, and a peaceful resolution to all this be explored. In the meantime, Potenzan embassy staff have been put on high alert, and the government will notify traveling Potenzans and Potenzan businesses located in Wasatch to practice extreme caution.

The United Republic condemns the violence that has occurred in Salt Lake City and the National Guard of Wasatch for initiating the attack on the protestors. People of all nations should be given the right to speak their mind on the issues plaguing their nation whether we agree with them or not. The National Guard as initiators of this attack must cease their violence against these protestors who have now been forced to defend themselves against such indiscriminate violence. We urge that the violence end and that those who ordered the attack on the protestors be punished for their heinous actions. If this not done then the Republic of Wasatch will lose what miniscule credibility it has left to this world. The United Republic henceforth has ceased all future plans of diplomatic missions to Wasatch and considers Wasatch to be a rogue state and a threat to the peace and stability of Occidentia.

The Ivernian Department of Foreign Affairs condemns the actions of the National Guard against the protesters who were forced to turn to violence. It hopes that an inquiry is made and those who fired upon innocent protesters be put to trial swiftly.
The Emperor of Ivernia Patricius Aodh-Mór personally sends condolences to the fallen and offers medical aid, food and other supplies if Wasatch requires them.

Elector Prince Leon Rothillan expresses hope that Wasatch's new government upkeep's relations with the Ivernian Empire and that our trade continues healthily.

The Kingdom communicates its gross misgivings over the national calamities that have unfolded in Salt Lake City that have led to unneccesary and intolerable bloodshed of civilians. The National Guard have failed in their purpose which is protect all and every Wasatchian person from man, woman to child. For Wasatch to move forward, it is clear a national inquiry should take place and that there should be root and branch investigation and impartial justice should be permitted to take its rightful course.

We are also concerned at the carte blanche usurpation of power by the Senate and the political implications and stability for the entire nation. We are, at current, of the persuasion that the move by the Senate to remove Dictator Boyack was an unconstitutional act. This augurs ill for Wasatch.

At the present time, His Danic Majesty's Government continue to recognise Dictator Boyack as the legitimate head of state of Wasatch, with full diplomatic right to travel to the lands of the kingdom, until such a time that a properly legal and constitutional process deems otherwise.

The Free Republic of Sucrecia is deeply disturbed by reports of deadly violence used by law and order agencies against protestors in the state of Wasatch. The political and social situation in Wasatch, with the deliberate and systematic unfair treatment of its darker-skinned inhabitants, was already intolerable and we are disappointed the great nations of this planet have only reacted with outrage when basic freedoms and rights are being denied to all of Wasatch's citizens, regardless of colour.

Two Sides to Every Story Special: The Liberal Front

With light armor and troops surrounding the condominiums, we thought it was important that both sides come out in this story. Here is the interview with a man we will call R and our paper.

Liberty Papers- Hello R, we are glad you could speak with us.

R- I'm glad the National Senate is allowing media inside to speak with us.

LP- So R, what happened out there yesterday?

R- You mean you don't know? We were marching peacefully and they opened fire. For no reason, some of those people injured and even a couple dead, were and are my friends.

LP- Right, but do you have any idea why they would open fire on you?

R- Probably because the National Senate is oppressive and does not appreciate its people.

LP- I think that is quite a stretch.

Two Sides To Every Story Special: The Troops

Since no National Guard could be interviewed we will have to tell you there side. As it turns out, four undercover agents were murdered by individuals earlier that day. The individuals amongst the mob had a lot of evidence against them. Linking them to bombings, murders, guns, and chemicals. The Senate ordered the National Guard to kill the group of seven. So the National Guard followed its orders and killed the first seven in the first shots. Hitting no others in the crowd or anything. What they did not expect was for some of the protestors to be trained and armed.

National Senate Building Bombed

In a deadly turn of events, militant protestors used a bus filled with plastic explosives to destroy the West Wing of the Senate Chambers. Only one of five National Senators survived. The military has taken over the situation, with the entering of the 2nd Battalion of the 1st Infantry Corps into the situation. Lt. Scott, the commander of 1st Infantry Corps, has occupied the Senate Chambers and is protecting the remainder of the federal government. The situation in Salt Lake City is reaching critical conditions and it is influencing the whole nation.

For the past three days; Provo, American Fork, Ogden, and Logan have been experiencing revolutionary violence. Bandanna wearing revolutionaries have been shooting everything from National Guardsmen, to bank officials. Though these newer fighters seem to be less organized and less trained than the Salt Lake City ones, they still have been winning over many buildings and positions in their cities of origin. Many city government officials are requesting that Lt. Scott send his troops to break up the violence.

The fleets stationed in Matanzas have been mobilized in case the fleets in Miami are hijacked by rebels. Although this situation is unlikely, it is possible if Lt. Scott's position in Greater Wasatch is thoroughly weakened.

Official Statement

Due to the proximity of Salt Lake City to the Free Occidental borders of the States of North and South Macungie as well as Dyberry coupled with the violence that has occured, the Confederate Congress has ordered that the border between the Confederation and Wasatch be shut down immediately in an attempt to stop the flow of violence from spilling into Confederate Territory. Confederate soldiers will be placed along the border in order to better secure and defend our nation.

The Confederate Congress denounces the actions of these revolutionaries as they grow farther away from protesters to a rebellion. Therefore, the Congress condemns the actions of these protesters and will begin working to do whatever necessary to secure our own borders and restore stability to the region.

Due to these accelerating events, the Grand Duchy is temporarily recalling her diplomatic staff in Wasatch. Potenzan natives in the nation, who are involved in business and trade, are urged to take extra caution and avoid areas of known trouble.

Revolutionaries 'Reveal' Themselves

A group of refugees from Spanish Fork has discussed with authorities in Reno what they saw. They say that in downtown Spanish Fork, the rebels that were fighting and battling against authorities were Punks. That's right Punks. As in the punks you see walking down the street with tattoos and strange hair. The youth of our nation is now attacking authorities in some towns. It is possible that these punks are either old members or younger people who idealize the Anarchist 'cult' of the 1960's known as the Architects. Regardless of who the fighters are, they are gaining ground in some cities. The rioters have literally shut down the cities of Spanish Fork and Provo. Soldiers will be entering the cities tomorrow to break up the rioters. It is still unknown who is fighting in Salt Lake City though.

The Salt Lake City Situation

As foreign troops enter the city today, violence increased. The unknown guerrillas were attacked by Lt. Scott's troops, and the attack failed. The rebels hiding out in the condos successfully drove out troops without firing a shot. The way up was so thoroughly booby-trapped that after two deaths and one injury Lt. Scott called his men back.

In response to the foreign troops entering the city to assist Lt. Scott's defense, the Financial District was hit. The mysterious military trained rebels of Salt Lake committed many atrocities today. Pulling some 25 bank officials and other various financial officials out to the street and shooting them dead before troops could arrive. It is clear that the men fighting against our State in Salt Lake City are for more ferocious than the punks in the rest of the nation.

Bloody Tuesday

Today, as Lt. Scott's forces entered the city of Provo (the first stop on the way to Spanish Fork) they experienced much more resistance then originally expected. After reach main street the troops were apparently surrounded by armed rebels. Pinned down and unprepared, 17 troops died before air support came in. An attack helicopter helped clear a path for the escape of the soldiers. However now Spanish Fork is still in chaos, and Provo has become a battle field. Troops have bunkered down on the north side of the city, and are preparing for another push to begin on Thursday. Rebel casualties are unknown at this time.

What this event appallingly makes clear is that the rebels are just that... rebels. Not protestors, not rioters, but rebels. Who are willing to open fire on professional military forces. This is a frightening fact to many citizens of our developed nation. The fact that this kind of violence is possible in a modern nation is eye opening. A petition is going around Mojave, Grand Junction, and other major western cities. This petition calls for Lt. Scott to sit with whoever the rebel leader is (if there is one) and organize a peace. Or at least a break in the fighting.

Temporary Cease-Fire Announced, Talks Scheduled

Lt. Scott announced to the press today that a break in the fighting and peace talks had been decided upon. Apparently the peace talks are scheduled for this Saturday with a currently anonymous rebel official.

"I just don't want anymore Wasatchi blood spilt. If I can avoid turning the city of Provo into a bloodbath I will. If there is anyway to make the rebels cease the violence I will take it. We need to remain our status in Occidentia and the Terrastania. I will push for peace anyway possible. The talks will be held in the Capitol Building of Salt Lake City, which is going to be guarded from the outside and inside with the more neutral Free Occidentian soldiers. We are glad our neighbor friends are being so helpful in the cause for peace." ~Lt. Jonathon Scott

Critics of Scott are calling him, a pansy who will bow down to Blacks, Punks, and the Socialists. Hopefully they are proven wrong.
