The answer our poorly socialized leaders are looking for is: mapmakers are taking extra time to make these alterations and improvements as practical and aesthetically pleasing as can be. Rushing this process might produce a subpar or disagreeable product, so patience is the best attitude right now.

I'm glad time is being taken, of course. Since I haven't been around as of late I also have no idea what sort of changes are being considered/made. Is there any way for someone to make light of that? For example, are continents disappearing or are current ones being totally reshaped or are we talking about more minor changes?

Does anybody know the name of the "Black Sea" to my south? I frankly haven't got a clue, so some help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm fairly certain it does not have a name, so you're probably free to provide your own.

If nobody objects, I'm thinking 'Green Sea', if we're taking the Rus color designations into account. South being Black and Green being east and all (of Kyiv (Rus) that is).

Alas, that is a name already taken for the large bay in the far western continent.

That just means East Sea. Translate the entire name in that case, not just half of it -- looks damn weird that way.

Some possible names:
the Hyrcanian Sea (after an ancient people that lived there or something)
the Khazar Sea
the Astara Sea
Zscentralmor (central sea)

I shall defer to your knowledge of the subject, although "Zscentralmor" does have a fancy ring to it, with the meaning and whatnot.

I like the geo-spatial descriptiveness of "Zscentralmor"

It's in the center of the "Asia" area and right in the middle of the Pontic Steppe. There could be more meaning to the name beyond the description of its actual geographic location, as it could hold various cultural implications in addition, but it was just a suggestion.

Byzantine Empire?! On my doorstep? Come on guys, if you are limit who can settle in certain locations based upon ethnicity and culture, why the hell are Byzantines in freaking Scando-Germania? Why can't we have random shit in Touyou or Himyar? Huh? Byzantine Empire ought to be placed near Taley. Case closed. Let's have some consistency in rulings.
