NATIONAL ELECTION COMMISSION ANNOUNCES DEMOCRAT'S VICTORY

According to the National Election Commission's statement, the Democratic Party has emerged as a majority in the National Assembly again, after two consecutive winnings in the last National Assembly elections. However, the gap between Democratic Party and Progressive Party is more closed than last National Assembly election. Hwang Jong-guk, Prime Minister of the Republic of Shinryeo and Leader of Democratic Party commented about the result, "The voice of Shinryeo people has spoken in favor of prosperity of this nation", Prime Minister was also assuring that he will begin to working on forming a new cabinet in advance of his second term.

Progressive Party - 90 seats out of 220 seats
Liberal Party - 10 seats out of 220 seats
Nationalist Party - 5 seats out of 220 seats

Though the gap between Democrats and Progressives was closing than last National Assembly election, Progressive Party once again fall into second largest party, which was quite disappointing result than they expected. Already, several Progressive representatives began to question the leadership of party and demanded that the leadership of party must be changed in charge of the failure on the election. " Shinryeo must defend itself " said the Prime Minister

On the opening speech of National Assembly session delivered to the representatives today, Prime Minister emphasized that Shinryeo must be able to itself from the foreign threats. Prime Minister said that Shinryeo's great success on the economy was possible because strong military surports from AGE member-states backed Shinryeo. Furthermore, he said that Shinryeo has an enemy called the Oikawan Empire and he want to see strong armed forces against the Oikawan invasion someday in the future. Soon the Assembly Hall was filed with the whispering.

In the Leader of Opposition's statement right after the Prime Minister's opening speech, Rep. Shin Chang-ho, the Leader of Progressive Party, criticized Prime Minister's calling for increased budget for defence as 'warmongering' statement and said that increased defence budget will see nothing but unstable Europe. Instead, he emphasized that seven years of Prime Minister Hwang saw huge cut in welfare, education, environment and budget in those sectors must be recovered as of 2003, when the Progressive cabinet was in the government.

On the other hand, the budget proposal will be submitted to the meeting of National Assembly in February 11th, according to the Office of Prime Minister

EDITORIAL: ARMS RACE IN EUROPE MUST STOP NOW

Two days ago, The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Belmont has announced that Belmontien Navy has successfully tested their new SLBM called "Coeur de Lion." On January 11th, the government of Wazistan announced that their medium-range missiles were successfully tested. More than that, A Meribian detonation of nuclear weapons in New Year's eve was enough to make everyone surprised. Furthermore, in yesterday's statement from the Prime Minister of Shinryeo, Shinryeo will likely to expand its military power, at least on his statement. Why the Europe suddenly racing for bigger and stronger arms?

In this time of unstable situation, there's one thing that European leaders must have to know. There was very few peace-times in world history, while we spent much time on the war. A world what we called Europe will facing a catastrophe, when European countries spend much money on bigger and stronger weapons. We must lay down our arms and hold our hands together for creating peaceful way of like for all Europeans - regardless of ideologies, language, race.

Now, this Blue Union Captaincy of Zivotinje is all for laying down weapons of mass destruction. However, our wish for peace cannot and will not inspire us to put down the devices of destruction that keep a Government in fear of its People, or the vigilance that keeps our country safe from foreign subversion. Do not expect a presence from this Blue Union Captaincy of Zivotinje, if the mission is to come together so we might 'hold hands'. Such a notion is ludicrous, and will under no circumstances will we abide by this naive suggestion.

Never, is the appropriate time for war. Always, is the appropriate time for preparation to engage in defensive warfare. Ignorance to believe otherwise in either case, would be damn near criminal, if speech restriction were not also an unalienable right.
