Official Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs​

It is becoming increasingly more apparent that the power balance of our planet is becoming increasingly dichotomous and as a result, more threatening to the world’s security and peace. It is the firm belief of the Aurarine Government that the growing dichotomous power blocs of the planet will only solidify their positions and inevitably lead to global military conflicts and neocolonialist ventures.

Several nations across the globe, Auraria included, have experienced pressure from one of the nations in the overarching power blocs: the TAAO and RDTO. There is no reason to believe that as these nations continue to solidify their positions in the globe that the world will become a more dangerous place for nonaligned nations, as well as inevitably become more prone to conflict.

In order to discuss a response to the current state of affairs, the Foreign Ministry of the Aurarine Republic, by request of the President of the Republic, has summoned the following ambassadors or diplomatic missions to the Presidential Mansion in Heredia:

EIFFELAND, Kingdom of

ETNAEAN KINGDOM
CATHIOPIA, Republic of

The meeting scheduled to be held in Heredia, will have Foreign Minister Cayetano Palomo and President Roberto Urbina present.

Broadly speaking, the position and viewpoint espoused by the government of the Aurarine Republic is in-line and compliant with our own. The emergence of the aforementioned political blocs represents a troubling development for all those previously unaligned nation-states, who are now in some circumstances even forced to choose sides. A rise in this "if you're not with us, you're against us" mindset does not appear to be too far off in the future, it is the opinion of this office, and has already been displayed by the RDTO w.r.t. the Eastern Cape.

Nonetheless, it is neither within the interest of this Etnaean Kingdom to place itself in a position where it must cater to foreign whims and distant, domestically-incomprehensible geopolitical objectives. Though this Etnaean Kingdom is not altogether please with the unfolding drama surrounding these two emergent alliances, it is neither the desire of this office nor the Crown government to enlist with either them or any third political bloc. Ultimately, the political fulcrum for such an organization would not reside within Gallia--and we must decline any proposed participation on that basis.

The Crown Envoy to the Aurarine Republic, Accios Morvenga Bríta, will attend the meeting. As it stands, however, this Etnaean Kingdom is unwilling to commit either way to any agreements.
