The Tripartite Agreement

Tripartite Agreement Alliance Organisation [TAAO].


The Tripartite Agreement was an agreement between three nations, The Continental Republic of Sylvania, the Kingdom of Ostveg, and the High Kingdom of Ivernia. This treaty was signed on the evening of the 26th of June, 1953 in Alderburgh, as a pact between nations of a similar ideologies with regards to freedom and democracy, and the preservation and cultivation of those ideas in the world. It was signed on the back of a collapsing Empire of Danmark, as a pact of unity between three nations to rid the world of the corrupt and the tyrannical.

The Tripartite Agreement experiment has proven to be effective at bolstering the weight of the member states individually and providing a bulwark against rampant tyranny against the member states.

The details of that treaty were as follows:

Creating naval cooperation between the Ivernish, Austwegian and Sylvanian navies;
Free trade agreements between all three nations;
Cultural exchanges to foster better relations between our peoples;
Develop a security plan for the entirety of Scania, including several contingency plans for potential wars;
An intelligence sharing network for information pertinent to Scanian security;
A cooperative approach toward the evils of communism and fascism.

This resulted in the creation of several ''Tripartite Treaty Bodies'', containing but not limited to:-

The Gothic Assembly.

A union of free trade between nations involved. Current members:

High Kingdom of Ivernia

Note: The GEC does not of yet demand members to not enter personal free trade agreements with other nations.

Common Defense Pact
A union of common defence. Current members:
Continental Republic of Sylvania
Kingdom of Ostveg
High Kingdom of Ivernia
Free Cities League
Republic of Asylan

Note: The CDF does not of yet demand members to not enter personal defence partnerships with other nations.


The Tripartite Agreement is now planning to grow and expand.

Any nation, that sees itself culturally and ideologically aligned with the directives that was found in the foundation organisation, the 'Tripartite Agreement', is allowed to now send a national application.

Applicants MUST gain a referral from a pre-existing member. Members can only be accepted by a unanimous agreement.

Although we are a monarchy, for the past two years we have striven for a free, fair, and efficient democracy, a vast improvement over the inefficient, bureaucratic-ridden Republic of Aresura that survives under their Touzeni masters. His Orthodox Majesty is also prepared to accept observers and advisors from current and future members of the Gladio in order to assist the Aresuroi in their efforts to replace the bureaucratic failure of the Republic of Aresura with a new and improved government and society.

While it must be admitted that the Etnaean Kingdom does not uniformly see eye-to-eye with some signatory states—particularly given the more southerly focus of our own geopolitical interests—it is nevertheless so that we all would seem to work towards the noble goals of security, stability, and prosperity. It is thus that this office, on behalf of the Crown Government and Sovereign of the Etnaean Kingdom, acting in the spirit of sincerest synergism and utmost concord, has been instructed to petition this Gallo-Occidentian Defense Council for membership, and the right to stand among such an august assembly of nations as friend, colleague, and equal.

After a recent, and formal letter to the Queen, the Sovereign Congress has asked Her Must Serene Majesty, D. Constança I, to join Gallo-Occidential Defence Council.
Her Must Serene Majesty, the Queen, has stated that this defense leage is componsed of the must respectable nations in the world, and thus a respectable leage. With this turmoil times, that the world lives in, standing like a lone wolf it is not the best option, and Portusgalia like many nations in the world, has its own fears and regards. The strougle for freedom and democracy, and the preservation and cultivation of those ideas in the world, was always one of Portusgalia's goals.

Portusgalia formally asks the three heads of this honourable leage, The Continental Republic of Sylvania, the Kingdom of Ostveg, and the High Kingdom of Ivernia, to join this pact.

The Tripartite Agreement was indeed founded upon the ideas for which our three nations felt were worth coming together for, however what my Ivernian counterpart has failed to get across to the applicants is the real reasons for why the meeting of three ever happened in the first place: keeping free men free. What I see in this current pool of applicants are hand shuffling imperialists and despots attempting to convince our three great nations that they are worthy of becoming part of the current Tripartite Agreement (I refuse to use the abbreviation GODC.) What is Portusgalia? It is a decrepit empire that survives off the economic subjugation of its colonial subjects, they seek only protection from their competitors. What is Suionia? It is nothing more than a nation attempting to cling on to whatever life it had before its war with Bantyr, its economy would do nothing more than suckle like a vampire from the necks of our great economies. What is Aresura? It is nothing more than a divided mess with a death grip on the word democracy, what they have striven for is a farce. Finally Tiburtina, what good would it do to allow papist scum become part of our alliance? Tiburan Catholicism is what drove the first settlers away from the Old World to the New, what message would we send the people of Sylvania by allowing membership to his "holiness?" This we cannot accept. What we are willing to accept is a fellow republic, Asylan, another potential shining beacon of freedom in a world clouded with the dark forces of imperialism and Marxism. Let it be known that Sylvania shall fight tyrants wherever they are, whether it be on the battlefield or via pen, paper and strong convictions. We will not be fooled by these nations of liars and deceivers.

We hail the enlargement efforts of the preexisting Member States of the Tripartite Agreement. Indeed, combining a free trade agreement with a mutual defence part is essential to maintain peace and stability in the North. The Free Cities' League, as a republican, confederal and democratic State, born out of the free agreement of sovereign city-states, reviews itself in the values of the GODC - free trade, unfettered competition, democracy and civil and political rights. As such, and already having a free trade agreement with the High Kingdom of Ivernia, we seek to integrate further with other nations of the North, which can and will ultimately become a beacon of freedom and democracy, and hereby solemnly submit our application.

After thorough discussion between the Tripartite members, these three nations satisfied the conditions necessary for accession to the Tripartite Agreement, including but not limited to:

Referral from a current Tripartite Member.
Freedom loving nations, with a will for the democratic way.
Unanimous agreement for ascension.

These three nations shall become incumbent members, and the presence of officials from their nations, typically a diplomat with the power required, are required to meet in Tara Castle of Alderburgh, Ivernia, in the same place the Tripartite Agreement was created and signed by the original three members. Once there, they shall sign their nations to the same Treaty, and become members of the Tripartite Agreement.
