So, the Update has finally arrived!

First of all, many many thanks to all of you who donated - this would not have been possible without you. Also thanks to all of you that wanted to contribute but didn't get the chance - I know some of you still want to contribute, and I am thinking about keeping the donations open. We shall see. Goodies are also to come!

Now we have a lot of new features which even I am unfamiliar with. For example we have the entire new CMS module, which allows people to write articles and have a professional front page. I will probably activate the article feature for everyone so that the community as a whole can populate that feature and make it a rich new addition. I also kinda have this crazy vision that by not only writing in game articles, but also OOC articles pertaining to issues discussed in the OOC sections, such as politics, we will be able to draw new people into our community and subsequently RP by expanding NSEurope's horizon. But we shall see.

The CMS will also be able to host a new section for RP guides, to make sure that new members are not confused and are more likely to stick around.

The blog software is also new and we will see how that pans out. For now everyone is encouraged to test to their heart's content.

There are some things that have not yet been added, but which do not warrant keeping the forum offline for another week or so. Most importantly, the Wiki-Forum bridge will still have to master some technical burdens, but in the meantime you can of course continue to RP and such. Same with the slider feature, which has to be rewritten as the new forum comes with a new programming syntax.

There are other features that have not yet been activated and there are planned new additions to the forum that will only be revealed in the coming days; this forum will serve as a discussion platform for all of these.

The forum has also been reconstructed, with some obsolete forums merged and the OOC forums put to the bottom of the page, allowing RP to be clearly prominent in the forum hierarchy. OOC threads will also go to this new section in the future to avoid spamming the RP sections. An additional new OOC forum has been created for 'serious' discussions and it is not unlikely that we will see an expanded OOC section in the future to attract new members whom we will then introduce to our RP.

Reporting posts or giving infractions now automatically creates discussion threads in the mod room, ensuring that all issues are being handled swiftly. You can also create private groups now, which should make it easier for smaller, non-alliance groups to get private space to discuss amongst themselves.

Finally, you now can specify your nickname in your profile, which will then be shown in threads - a new user won't be confused anymore when we talk about 'Kapi' anymore.

Enjoy!

And of course give feedback, report issues and all.

PS: Also, the tagging feature has been reactivated. Please use it responsibly and help making searching the forum easier for everyone by making searching more innovative!

I also forgot to mention that we now have the vbulletin native facebook integration. So if you want to link/like things on FB..

Nicely done!
Quick question, any chance that the 'account switch' thing could be re-included?
