There once was a time that a marriage between two great powerful and royal dynasties forged an alliance between two great and powerful nations. Those times have passed. Alas, however, my granddaughter has been challenged with the task of not only finding a suitable husband but, moreover, ensuring the continuation of the great and royal bloodline of her ancestor King Louis I. It is a most important duty to a ruling Queen, and a task that her Kingdom looks to for hope.

On behalf of my granddaughter Queen Marie II Joséphine, I am charged with sending a letter to the current and former reigning royal and princely houses to find an eligible suitor. A domestic marriage, as one has seen, can bring costly consequences. A suitable prince from beyond the Kingdom is the most excellent. If possible, please provide a letter to Her Majesty’s Ambassador in your respective countries with the names, age, rank and title of possible suitors. Preference will go to a Prince, but if one must settle for a Duke, one settles. I await to hear from you.

The royal house of Saaremaa, that was illegally sent into exile by the coup d'eat that took place in April 1953, would wish to present Prince Ott Andrus as a potential groom for the Queen Dowager Josephine. Prince Ott Andrus was the heir of the Kingdom of Saaremaa, until the reigning queen Eha, broke the law in January 1953 and appointed her youngest son, Prince Alvar, who was crowned King Alvar VI. The laws of succession in Saaremaa were based on seniority, so the legal heir of the Kingdom was the brother of Queen Eha, Prince Ott Andrus, not one of her sons.

The marriage between Prince Ott Andrus and Queen Josephine would create a bond between Saaremaa and Coeurleon. We believe that this whole madness in Saaremaa, called the National Revolutionary State won't exist by the end of this year and when the militarist clique would renounce their powers, the people would beg for the return of Prince Ott Andrus, rather than Queen Eha and her progeny. This might the one of the greatest chances the two dynasties could have to create a friendship that has the potential to last forever.
