Your excellency,

It is with great honour and pleasure to send you this communique which I hope it finds you well and healthy. I am saddened that I cannot bring really that much of a good news from the Natalian point of view, but from a Pan-Engellexic point of view, it might be a bonanza.

The plans for a Pan-Himyari alliance for a general decolonisation of Himyar have sadly failed to really cement into something that can withstand the sands of time, let alone be really that much relevant. We have only found out in the recent summit that the Pelasgians have divided the continent by themselves and the First Republic and surprisingly, it seemed that the "Great Powers" saw us and the Empire of Azraq as being parts of the Pelasgian sphere of influence.

This has really disappointed Chief Minister Liam Savage greatly, as he worked for this summit since he started his political career in the early 1970s, only to see it drown in the arrogance of those so-called ancient empires that mostly stagnate and dream of old days when they really mattered. Because of this, we are ready now to look again, as we did before, 100% towards our brothers, and see the Engelshsphere as the only place where Natalia can truly find friends and support.

Remember how we managed to develop the Atlas Cheetah and the Cussian made Buzzardhawk and how in the early 1990s, the people of Beautancus helped us modernise the Elephant tank to bring it to mk5. Remember how much we collaborated economically in the latter days of the last century, with Natalians being involved in developing revolutionary mining techniques in Beautancus and the Cussians offered Hartnett their licences to build the tractors and farm tools used by so many of the Natalian Farmers.

Hence, we would like to create a rapprochement with the Confederated Republic of Beautancus and to thus create a free trade and free travel zone between our countries, so that both of us can enjoy the fruits of cooperation, solidarity and further development in a world that shows to be trending more towards isolationism and war.

We would also like, in the spirit of cooperation and the defence of peace and freedom to invite the Confederated Republic of Beautancus to a mutual defensive treaty so that we can be sure that Engeldom stands together against the potential threats of colonialism, imperialism and communism of whatever other threats lie about which the civilised world doesn't even have a word to describe them.

In these times of ever and steadily increasing uncertainty and madness in the far-climes of the world, it will be moments such as these, and the measures that we take to stand together that will determine the course of history for all time to come. Our two great nations have a long and storied history of interaction, and ties of blood that bind us together more anciently and deeply yet still - and ill, indeed woefully ill, would it speak of the Confederated Republic to disregard such a forthright and honest entreaty such as the one that this Office has received from you.

To that effect, it is my true pleasure to inform you that both the House of Burgesses and Senate have ratified all of the proposal set forth in the document our most esteemed partners - now allies - have forwarded - in each and every degree. Both His Excellency, First Citizen & Chief Edward C. Orton and I have added our signatures to the finalized treaty, attached with [REDACTED]. His Excellency likewise wishes to seize upon the opportunity presented by the presence of the current Natalian Delegation to ensure maximally beneficial cooperation and flow of resources are the rule of this grand enterprise from the very start. As is our custom in such matters, the pertinent firms have empowered him to negotiate binding contracts on their behalf, to better facilitate the needs of both our states and peoples.

It is a great distinction and profound responsibility that our peoples share, in their Ancient and Mighty Heritage. The future of the Trans-Thaumantic Basin, Himyar and the world at large depend upon the ability of all our Engell-kin to stand shoulder to shoulder, in the fullness of their strength each and all, in order to combat and utterly eradicate the true enemies of Civilization that are, even now already positioning themselves for the final confrontations to decide the fate of our very species. We could, in this hour, do but no other than to extend our hand in friendship to a sibling so surely placed to achieve vitally necessary greatness. By all our Stars and Sainted Forebears, Natal shall have what it needs from the Confederated Republic to ensure that it is able to to take its rightful place among the great nations of the Civilized Order in our world of tomorrow.
