The Antarctic continent is an ecologist's treasure trove, as it is the last continent kept virgin. It only has penguins and hundreds of meters of ice and snow on it. The nations of the world should keep it as the natural sanctuary it is. If there are nations organising campaigns to reach it and claim it, in a blatant attempt of neocolonialism and imperialism, we should all stand together in a bid to protect nature. Moving in for the search of resources is meaningless in a continent where the weather does not allow normal working conditions and where one destroys the nature itself only to find resources that may not even be there. #sanctuary #keepoffantarctica #eco #greens #crisis #plunder​

Oh do stop being so bloody dramatic. Prince Nicol LED that expedition. His flagship heavy frigate was front & center. It was indeed his idea. I have #breakingnews for @RealCancillerSuarez: every nation is growing, some more rapidly than others. That doesn't give any nation, regardless of political leaning, the right to violate international law by seeking to mine for resources in territory that doesn't belong to them.

If you want to ignore environmental concerns associated with resource extraction, do it in your own lands and muddy your own waters that you drink from. Don't export your #irresponsible #imperialism to lands protected by #EuropeanForum international law from such #exploitation.
