Valkany's Lord Regent meets the Queen

[Portusgalia]

In the Palace of Sintra, in the middle of the Sintra Mountain and Woods, where the Queen always is, and marks secret meetings, an important presence is waited by D. Constança, The Lord Regent of Valkany. The Queen has no hard feelings towards the new regime, neither the portusgalian old guard neo-septembrists.

The Queen waits for the arrival...

 

[Valkany]

Lord Regent: Your majesty I was told that you requested a secret meeting with a highly ranked person within the republic. May I inquire on the purpose of this request?

 

[Portusgalia]

D. Constança I: Certainly your excelency... I had "delicate" matters with Lord Osendoff, the former head of diplomacy in Valkany... I hope you respect the confidentiality of the issue, but regards towards D. Duarte and his clique that are arrested in a home, guarded by Valkanian forces. What is the situation in that home, are the guards still in guard duty?

 

[Valkany]

Lord regent: Oh don't worry the situation is stable now and Duarte is till under house arrest. by the way Lord Odessof is still head of foreign affairs, I'm just doing this job while he's on trial.

 

[Portusgalia]

D. Constança: Your excelency, you must understand our concerns. The situation that Valkany is living is prone for D. Duarte and his clique to get out of control. We will continue with our secret deal with your excelencies and pay for the guard, housing and domestic expenditures.

Since this "trouble" is still in good hands, what is the situation in Valkany your excelency? I see a lot of secrets regarding this "turning tables" in Valkany... Are you really into a revolution?

 

[Valkany]

Lord Regent: To be honest we were until the defendants returned. The people might feel disappointed by the Royal Family but they don't want an abolition of the monarchy. If we did that we would be the ones facing a revolution. So now, as you probably know from the news, we have negotiated some changes to make Valkany more democratic, but in effect still are under the Emperor's leadership. At least the situation has finally stabilized.

 

[Portusgalia]

The Queen stands by the window, contemplative... The view of Sintra Mountain is distressing for her.

Queen D. Constança I: I see you don't like the Paternal Authocracy of the "Demetrius Dinasty"... Why your excelencies don't force a true Demo-Liberal Constitution, and put Valkany once and for all in the Western World? It is a petty such a country with so much potential to stay so much attached to the "Ancien Regime"...
