-- The past and the future --

The CP, or the communist party, was the bane of the country : in power, there was the state police, who arrested and executed all suspicious civilians for the government in the country. It was an authoritarian party, with an iron fist, where all others party were not allowed. This communist governement fell, and since we are a democratic, united republic. But currently, a marxist-leninovist minor party, "the Union for the people", has revolutionnary aspirations : "We will carry a revolution for all workers of the republic of Ruthenia-Galicia!" said the president of the party, Debi Vâzderil. Should we beware? Should we be afraid? Is a movement like the former CP come back? Don't forget that they are different from the CP. Their volitions could be better than the medias and the politics says habitually. - Svetla Dan

-- A Kadikistan war? --

In this year 1956, a coalition, or an alliance is forming against the Democratic Republic of Kadikistan. This very big and powerful country, situated in the east of our nation, is accused to have supporting terrorists groups, to have send army troops in Milesia and to have create a blockade against Justizia. The country was known before for be a criminal state for the international community, but now it has the new reputation of an invasive will by the violence and the strenght. What position should we take? The Ministry of the sovereign affairs has, I quote, said : "The Republic of Ruthenia-Galicia is more than vigilant at this affair. In the current circumstances, we have decided to stay neutral, and to be a watcher member of this anti-kadikistani alliance and of the situations in the region." How don't be against this threat? We are at the border of the Kadikistan, we must worry. By our neutral position, our governement support this criminal country, or, someway, show his inhability to assume its acts. - Dzuda Hlab

We do not think that Ruthenia-Galicia should be stirring trouble by calling Kadikistan a 'Criminal State' use of such wording will only escalate tensions and due to the Anti-Kadikistani Coalition being virtually defunct we do not think it is wise of your nation to use this wording. Tensions with Kadikistan have largely subsided and relations are now returning to the status quo slowly but surely. We are strong supporters of the free press however when the free press puts the international community in danger we do not support this.

-- A bomb attack --

Today, at 1:30 pm three bombs exploded in the subway of L'viv, at Sagara station. 12 people were killed and 50 were injured. Our president Alexandr Pohl declared : "This is an ignoble act. I sympathize and I am with the family of the victims." and went to the subway for deposit a flower sheaf. Some terrorist groups were suspected, as well as the IMVB (Independence Movement of Volyn and Bukovina) and the marxist-leninovist party UP (Union for the People), but this horrible act has not been revendicated. However, in the departments of Volyn and Bukovina, where there have been a referendum for the independence, the people is talking about an inserruction, a secession of these two subdivisions, and the bomb attack will be the beginning of that. Also, we are talking of a revolution by the UP and this attack will be a warning. There are a lot of theories, like a declaration of war by a country or a conspiracy of the government. One thing is certain : this bomb attack will mark the minds and the country for the future decades. - Sabeti Zderiva

Having recently suffered a terrorist attack from Marxist-Leninovist terrorists in our own capital city, Propontis, we fully sympathise with them. Our embassy's flag shall fly at half a mast to show our grief and our solidarity. We hope that those responsible for this vile act are swiftly brought to justice. We reitarate now, what we have already side time and time again: Marxism-Leninovism is a cancer, a disease, which poses an enormous danger to global stability and peace. And, like all diseases, it should be eradicated for the good of human kind.

"The Democratic Republic of Kadikistan, the People's Republic of Milesia and the International Association of Marxist-Leninovist Parties jointly and formally dissociate ourselves from the terrorist attacks that took place on the 22th of April. These tragic events that took the lives of no less than twelve people do not help the Marxist-Leninovist cause. In fact they provide the ammunition that the reactionary forces need to let their propaganda machine deceive their own people. We also deny that the Union for the People is responsible for this cowardly attack against fellow civilians as we are in very close contact. If the investigation would find any links between the Union for the People and the terrorists responsible we demand the immediate expulsion of said members lest the UP will be submitted to severe sanctions or possibly even expulsion from the International. No matter how committed we must never let ourselves become that which we are fighting, a murderous marginal group attacking innocent people. The only difference being that the groups that run the governments of nations like Ruthenia-Galicia are responsible for much more than twelve deaths.

The Union of the People is not a terrorist organization, but rather a worthy political party that will undoubtedly succeed in changing Ruthenia-Galicia into a workers' paradise such as Kadikistan. We warn the Galico-Ruthenian regime not to use this tragedy as a justification to crack-down on the Marxist-Leninovist Movement. In fact we wonder if these attacks were not in fact executed by the government in an effort to polarise the community and gain popular support for major repressive operations in the coming weeks. We will monitor the situation closely."

-- Guilty arrested --

A man was arrested. He was suspected to have participated to the bomb attack of the 22rd april. He confess his crime the next day. This man, 35 years old, black hair and black eyes, doesn't have the profile of a murderer. We don't know where he come from, he refused to say it to the secret services. We have many questions : why this attack? In what purpose? Why kill so much people? Questions who will probably not be elucidated. We don't know what it happens in the mind of these people (who make the attacks), but often, this is dark. With a dark history, and some dark origins. For the moment, the thing who is dark, this is the bomb attack who killed 12 persons.

-- Volyn governor lynched --

Yesterday, the Volyn department governor, Redani Sar, was lynched to the output of the city hall of Loutsk, the chief town of the department. Many protesters, who were 15 or 20, hooded, have throwed some eggs and rotten vegetables on the governor. They shouted, and they insulted him. A demonstrator has been interrogated : "We want a free Volyn! Independent and sovereign! We have our proper history! And this governor is a henchman of the government! Never we will have our independence with him." The security guards have maintained the order until that the governor rejoined the car. He could not be interrogated.

-- Ecological problem --

In the forests of Higher Ruthenia, not far from Aril, we can hear some cries of protests. Attached to trees; a group of 100 demonstrators, according to police. "Save the forest, save the planet!" say someone. "No to the deforestation!" say another. Their cause : stop the timber industry and save the forest of Higher Ruthenia. Should we hear them? In 1954, the scientists showed that the forest territory back away from 10%. And that a lot of species (whose some are endemics) are threatened. Some peoples have recommended to create a natural park, a protected area for save the ecosystem. But how about the timber industry? If we protect this area, the industry is in danger, and so the economy. This industry is important, it represent a big part of the GDP, after mining and fishing. And many jobs will be loosed. So, who choose? The ecology or the economy?
