Jewish Separatism Named #1 Security Threat
First Marshal Vasyl Tarassenko made waves yesterday when in an address to graduating ASAAF cadets he stated “...you will be on the front line of our struggles, including the fight to preserve our Alliance against the threat of Jewish separatism which I can say without reservation is the most pressing security challenge facing us today.”
The First Marshals comments hint a break in the decades old policy of characterizing LFS imperialists and communist revolutionaries as the top threats to the Allied States. Today Voice contacted the Office of the First Marshal for comment on his remarks and received this reply: “The First Marshal, the State Defense Committee and State Military Commission are in complete agreement that the rapidly growing strength of Jewish separatist movements is the most immediate and urgent threat to the security and integrity of the Allied States.”
The First Marshals remarks were vividly underscored later that day by the detonation of a car bomb on a crowded street outside a police station Sarkel which caused the deaths of 16 Militia officers and 77 civilians with many more wounded. The 2nd Airborne Brigade of the ASAAF is scheduled to begin deploying to the Khazar Autonomous Region next week to shore up the Militia and Interior Troops already deployed in the conflict ridden region.
Headlines:
RusEnergy receives contract for two new nuclear reactors in Kypchak National Republic.
Foreign Ministry dismisses rumours of Allied States-AGE Summit as “Pure speculation”.
Health Ministry confirms it is making plans for future outbreaks of Slavic flu.
ASRF detonates nuclear warhead at test range in Sibir Special Administrative Region.
OOC: Lost my nifty old template. So this will have to do for now.
