A small number of low level communication had been exchanged between the People's Republic of Cyrillic and the Islamic Republic. These communications had shown the desire and intent for both parties to directly meet and expand relations.

The Cyrillic delegation would be asked to fly into Karaj international and from there be flown by helicopter into Rudan where the meeting would take place. Commies were known for their atheism but the Islamic Republic was an governed under the laws of allah and would show how important this was as an integral part of the past, present, and future for Kedirian people.

As the Cyrillica diplomatic staff flew into the city of Rudan they could only notice all of the architecture of the city much of it centuries old. The majority of the city was still enclosed within stone walls. The mujahideen pilot circled the delegation around the city ensuring they all took in their sights the Al-Masjid al-Nabawi (Mosque of the Prophet). It was all part of his ordered flight plans.

After he made his pass the helicopter set itself down lightly on the pad of the hotel where the delegation would be staying for the duration of the talks, as well as the site of the meeting. Standing upon the rooftops was two men waiting to greet the delegation. As they exited the chopper they were greeted, "I am Faisal Al-Salah, the Islamic Republics Government Spokesman. The other man is Supreme Leader Haseen Al-Hamdan. I shall be here for the duration of this meeting to act as translator."

Alexander Lianablov stepped out to greet the Kediri welcoming party. Alexander sported a common suit; grayish in color with a white shirt beneath, all of which made of cotton or synthetic materials. Like all those of Cyrillic nationality, Alexander lacked a tie. Ties are not manufactured in the Republic as they are viewed as symbols of plutocratic oppression and Wagedom.

Lianablov extended his right hand to first the Supreme Leader, and then the translator. Cyrillic delegations have once before offended a people by offering the wrong hand, after all most of the Cyrillic population is left-handed.

"Nice to meet you." Lianablov said warmly, flashing a smile.

"I hope your so far enjoying our beautiful country from what you have seen. This is one of the most important cities to our people and has much to offer. Rooms have been arranged for you all for the duration of your visit and security is tight to keep any potential problems from arising. Now we shall allow you all to make ready and we shall all meet for supper where we shall hear what the purpose of this visit is to discuss."

Al-Salah turned to walk away beside Haseen and make quick to assure things we prepared for this evening. He only quickly stopped himself to turn back to the guests, "Hows the temperature treating you gentlemen? I hope its not too unbearable."

Alexander was impressed by the generous hospitality offered by the Kediri. It shouldn't surprise him that an enemy of the West was of course well mannered. The city's architecture brought it to life, the nations culture pulsed strongly through its veins.

"Your city is quite beautiful. The cities within the Republic aren't nearly as lively as this."

This was almost an understatement. Cyrillica was rife with pagan architecture before the December Revolution nearly a century ago. When the revolutionaries took power, all religious icons were demolished, schools and hospitals had been built in their place.

The previous Cyrillic regime had so thuroughly exterminated the existence of religion in the country that the conception of religion is nearly absent in the country.

"Its much different than it is in the home country." Alexander allowed the Kediri to lead them into the supper room.

This was interesting so far for Al-Salah and Haseen. They continued to carry on small conversation while leading the guests to a special area of the dining room that was sealed off and reserved for their dinner plans. The meal had of course already been planned and they would all be enjoying Kapsa. However before the meal they could begin discussing the reasoning behind this visit from the far north.

Haseen began the speaking with Al-Salah looking at his leader before he turned to the Cyrillican delegation and translating, "We are again greatly humbled by your presence. It has however raised not only my questions but those whom serve under I. We must ask, what has brought yourselves here? What has caused our nation to become such an important blip to a nation so far from our own? What could our country and people have to offer yours, and what does your country have to offer us?" Al-Salah paused momentarily and added a question of his own, "What kind of ties and relations could our states really have? We govern so differently from your own state and religion plays such an important role for us, but isn't the fundamental idea behind communism the "collective not individual" and shunning religion?"

Alexander smiled kindly at the Kediri. "Actually my friends communism is fundamentally individualistic. It satisfies the community by providing for the individual, or so it should be." he said, his tone sincere instead of condescending. This was an obvious reference to the more authoritarian strains of socialism.

"Why am I here? Why, I am here for friendship." he said gesturing towards them. "We aren't a Western people coming to you to smile while knowingly leeching the resources and lifeblood of your people, or Christians coming to convert and destroy" he continued.

"The Cyrillic people live without friends or allies and they need them, regardless of what they may believe. Thoughts are only thoughts, it is actions that cause pain and suffering. Such are the actions of the capitalists and crusaders."

"And it is actions that cause health and prosperity, and it is this very action that has brought me here to the Islamic Republic." he said, nodding at at Supreme Leader.

"It is entirely up to you whether you'll allow us to open relations to the Islamic world, after all we aren't Christians."

"We must say that we find ourself in agreement with you mister Alexander. You have came to the right location for relations with the Islamic world. Your actions show a desire for cooperation."

al-Salah paused for a moment as he leaned closer to his leader, "As such we look forward to a future in growing bi-lateral relations and will soon look forward to an Cyrillican Embassy in Karaj. We find ourselves constantly on the guard with monarchs and Christian states on the prowl only looking to further suppress the Muslim world. Even now states like Belmont claim to seek closer ties with large Muslim population bases yet it only looked towards the despotic Hajr regime & the dominating Christian state of Anbar, thats hardly forging closer ties with a group its far more selective, we wouldn't have expected much from a state like that however anyways."

He smiled.

"The People's Republic would be more than willing to open a Kediri embassy in Engelsgrad, and we'd be just as jubilant to see a Cyrillic embassy in the Islamic Republic."

He leaned forward, supporting his chin on his fist.

"I'm sure you are aware of the current international situation right now. The Soviet Republic of Meribia was recently invaded and Kryobaijan recently withdrew from the International Revolutionary Bloc. The People's Republic is going through a major industrialization campaign."

He paused, taking a deep breathe before he continued.

"We lack the natural resources to pull this off ourselves, quickly anyway."

He finished, then that same friendly, re-assuring smile appeared again.

"This seems to be a tough time for us all that seem to be on the opposite end of the spectrum to multiple western governments."

An long period of silence overtook the group as Haseen pondered the exact meaning of what it was they wanted. There could really only be one thing they wanted, the black gold. The one resource that could be said to make the whole world go round. Soon he whispered to his spokesman.

"We assume you mean that your nation would like to begin seeing an increase in oil exports to it from our own wells. I think we could very well accommodate such a request alongside the new growth of our diplomatic relations. People like ourselves need friends wouldn't you agree? People hate what they do not understand."

The diplomat nodded in agreement, understanding fully well just what the Kediri meant. The People's Republic has experienced this human trait far too well.

"Yes, it seems those who differ from the majority are simply shunned, even if for simply possessing a superior idea. Conservatism is deeply ingrained in the uneducated people's of the world."

He eyed the Kediri leader, a slight awe still lingering in the back of his mind. The Kediri people were so different than his own, everything from the clothes they wear, their skin color, even their way of handling things. He felt a strange will to learn more about them, it was very rare for any Cyrillican to see a foreigner, much less talk to one.

Of course, Alexander's diplomatic occupation guaranteed association with foreigners, but he was still surprised to be in the company of an Islamic leader, particularly one so revered by his own people.

"Any cooperation between our cultures will certainly improve relations. I like to see this as a way to not only provide one another with what we need, but to also improve understanding and cooperation between our people."
