As the situation in Loago worsens and the chance for a bright future for Caledonians on the dark continent diminishes, we are saddened to view reports of violence against average men and women of Caledonian heritage. At this time we do not wish to publicly comment on the wrongness or righteousness of any political interest taking form in Loago, yet we do wholeheartedly condemn all acts of violence perpetrated against the human inheritors of true European civilization in Caledonian form.

This is why the Covenant Republic of Cantignia duly offers safe harbor for the pioneers, settlers, and barers of Caledonian heritage who can no longer safely call Loago their home. It is our belief that these denizens of Loago, captains of industry and agriculture now under duress, would be a valued asset for Cantignia where many Caledonian kinsmen already call home. If no cessation of violence is granted by uprising forces, and no convenient resettlement in Caledonia proper is available, then Cantignia vows to grant asylum for endangered Caledonians in Loago from all economic or political stations.

The Commonwealth of Caledonia thanks the Grand Covenant for their friendship and support in those trying times. It is true that with the defection of the traitor, Seathan Forsaidh there have been a lot of lies being pushed to discredit the Commonwealth, but we must state that they are based on a plot of deceit to see Caledonia burn and its people suffer.

As of yet, we are under extreme pressure to end out presence both in Loago and Cabaon, but we feel that such a development will leave a void in the politics of both countries and will only be followed by more violence and disruptions. Even so, with the creation of the National Unity Government, we still feel that the PACFOR mission has been successful, as we offered Maseru a civilian government and we might be ready to end their presence there and leave the NUG as a fully independent and fully sovereign entity in the country.

As for the Caledonians in Loago and Cabaon, we are prepared for the worst, in case the "returnees" as they have been described in the news prove to be too many and the countries fully hostile to them, we are are prepared to receive and integrate in the Caledonian society between 500,000 to 750,000. The main problem is that there might be around 2,5 million Caledonians or Himyaro-Caledonians in both Loago and Cabaon, the majority in the former, and we might not be able to receive all of them, should a genocide against them be started by the rebels.

For that, we wish to thank the Grand Covenant for their support and we hope that we can work together to save the lives of those people and to try to integrate them back into paceful, sane societies, where they can lead their lives without the fear that today may be their last day.

The Covenant Republic will continue to monitor the situation of Caledonians in Loago & Cabaon with concerned focus. We intend to contract the domestic and international company HDS (Heydendahl Defense Services) to serve as advanced liaisons for missions concerning the safety or evacuation of Caledonian civilians. This Foreign Office will be coordinating and forwarding visa information and applications for firearm possession to secure defend the minor Cantigian Foreign Office in Caledonian Maseru*.

We are also aware of an estimated 540,000 Engellkin population in the ongoing conflict, and we thus intend to reach out to our erstwhile allies from the First Republic & Natal to determine if a sufficient contingency plan for their safety is being considered beyond the boardrooms of mercantile interest.

*OOC: Not sure how realistic having that foreign office in Maseru actually is, but I envision Cantignia's private interests in business around the world operates through foreign offices that contain more civilian contractors / liaisons than government employees.
