Tuesday, February 2nd 2010 – Arthur Morris' phone rang. He was deep in sleep, but whatever it was, it was important. He looked down at the screen which read “Contact 1 – Lancaster” He answered “Hello?”

“Is it secure?” The voice had an air of urgency to it

“Yes, what do you need?”

“The King's physician has given him only a few months to live. The cancer has spread too quickly. You know the plan, I shall keep you updated.” The other line closed, and Arthur put down his phone.

Everything was falling into place, there patience had payed off. Soon, a new leader shall rise over Anglia.

Friday, April 9th 2010 - Field Marshall Lancaster made his way up the steps of the Royal Palace in London. The palace was not an uncommon stop for Lancaster, but it had an eerie feel about it, and meeting the King after his son's death was something he had planned for, and it would hopefully regard the loss of the Crown Prince.

He quickly found out that he was correct. The King and what he presumed to be the new Crown Prince George IV, son of Prince Harold were sitting in the King's study. George, merely 9 years of age, was a precocious child, and sat with his head down. Once the King saw the Field Marshall he motioned for him to enter. The old King stood slowly to greet his guest.

“Edward, how pleasant it is to see you,” with a slight smile that could not hide his obvious grief.

Lancaster slightly bowed to the King and then to Prince George

“My lord, my condolences to you and the rest of the Family. It comes at such an unexpected time, Harold was a close friend of mine. He will be missed.”

“Yes, yes, my son will be missed greatly. But please we must press on with why I have called you here. Please have a seat.” They both sat, and the King looked at Field Marshall Lancaster sullenly,

“Edward as I am sure you have already guessed that young George here will assume my throne once I have passed. I do believe that should be very soon” There was a slight pause until the Field Marshall could gauge what was just said,

“I do not understand my lord.” He glanced at Prince George and back to the King. It was all going as planned.

“Edward, I am dieing.” The King took a long sigh and looked out the window into the sunny day, “I have only a few weeks to live. My physician has confirmed it, but I have felt it for the last few days.”

Lancaster looked at the King as if confused and then the King began to speak again ,”George here is much too young to control Anglia just of yet, that is why I have called you here. I wish you to assume the position of Regent, and First Marshall and manage George's affairs until he has come of age.” He then waited for the Field Marshall's response.

Lancaster hid his joy and with perfect formality responded,

“I would be honored my lord, I shall accept this and serve Anglia to my highest abilities.”

After a few more minutes of discussion, the Field Marshall left the Palace, hiding his happiness
