PRESS RELEASE

After 11 years of anarchy, Oakster has been pulled from the ashes by HRH Benjamin Oakley to take its place on the world stage of NationStates once more. In a flurry of legislation and announcements HRH has enacted the Bill of Rights which has authorised the creation of a Government and appointed a Prime Minister. The Prime Minister has been given Royal Consent to create the government as he sees fit.

HRH appointed William James as the first Prime Minister of Oakster in the following speech:

I, HRH Benjamin Oakley, retain full legislative powers in their entirety and remain the ultimate power in Oakster. All laws, decisions, outcomes, resolutions, motions and any other forms of rule or guidance issued by me are executive and legally binding.

I have created the Bill of Rights 2016 and this sets out the creation of an Oakster Government. The first act by me stemming from this Bill is as follows.

My first decision as HRH of Oakster, to help bring Oakster back into the civilised World is to appoint William James as Prime Minister. He has been given Royal Consent by me to appoint any members of the Government he requires and to enact any legislation that he deems fit to govern Oakster. He will meet with me on a weekly basis to ensure that we work together in a joint venture to bring Oakster back to the World Stage.

Prime Minister James then appointed Samuel Wellington to the Office of Foreign Secretary in the following speech:

As the First Prime Minister of Oakster I have been given the immense task to bring Oakster back from 11 years of anarchy and into the civilised world of NationStates.

I can only thank HRH Benjamin Oakley for this appointment and during the many hours we have spent looking into how to move Oakster forwards it was clear that we shared the same vision for Oakster. One that puts us back on the World Stage.

In respect of this, myself and HRH Benjamin Oakley know that we need a strong vision and voice in the NationStates World, and within our Region, and to that end I hereby appoint Samuel Wellington to the Office of Foreign Secretary. He is the only man I know that has the tenacity, the knowledge and the moral guidance to make sure that Oakster is seen on the World stage as a vibrant, inclusive and knowledgeable Nation.

Congratulations, Mr Wellington.

Together they have the vision, strength and ability to set Oakster on the path that it once walked - creating legislation, building allies and friends and becoming a voice in it's own region and on the World stage.

OOC: While you are entirely free to have your nation be recovering from anarchy, we make no mention of NationStates or the Region "Europe" in this forum. Our world, called "Europe," is considered to be the entire planet our nations are on, in a 1950s setting. Don't worry, PM me if you want me to delete this message so I don't interrupt your thread.
