Public Communique

The Status Of Burgundy

The events currently unfolding in Burgundy are highly preoccupying. The utmost disrespect for peace, prosperity and national sovereignty demonstrated by the actions of belligerent nations that have taken to invading the country and have brought nothing but wanton destruction. It is upmost importance that a peaceful solution is quickly found, that the orderly withdrawal of the forces of the collective Domain can be accomplished and that peace, prosperity and normalcy can be restored to the people of Burgundy and their will respected.

We however understand that these are not things easily accomplished but nonetheless fully endorse any attempt at international and national reconciliation. The efforts of the members of the CONPROFOR to reestablish order and peace in Burgundy are a stride towards those goals, and we heartily support those who seek a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict, and only wish that this grand step toward continental reconciliation and cooperation between Gallian and Germanian nations had been taken sooner.

Further acknowledging that geographical difficulties put a strain on the quality and quantity of help that our nation can grant, we however offer any and all help we can towards rebuilding and restoring prosperity in a future Burgundy free of conflict and foreign interference, and look forward to in the future cooperating towards this goal.

Ziaeddin Sarkis
First Secretary of Foreign Affairs
